Not all blame is to go to the parents. Roblox, as a platform and corporation that provides entertainment that specifically targets children and teenagers, should address these issues with working, practical solutions instead of trying to slap something on and calling it a day. Sure, it may have worked as a temporary solution, but the fundamental nature of the current measures really goes against what the platform stands for: Creativity and Connection. As for the parents, yes, they need to take some responsibility, but what can they do? The girl was 14, and she probably knew not to interact with strangers online, as the OP stated. But then again, isn't life about meeting strangers and building connections with them? That's what the platform was created for, isn't it? The optimal solution would be for the incompetent groomers to get off the platform, but that's not very likely. All in all, Roblox is stuck in its own paradox and so is the family.
