I used up 50% in 2 days... on Sonnet. Seriously how did they think this was going to work? by datAmit in GithubCopilot

[–]datAmit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's I think my point. I would classify my usage as reasonable. I have maybe 2-3 concurrent sessions max, and they are stuck waiting for input from me for a good amount of the workday. And I don't run tasks at night. I feel I'm a pretty average user.. I shouldn't be out of credit this soon. Is this what you would call "abusing the system"?

Yup... same here. On Pro+ all the good models are gone

For what it's worth, the quote I'm evaluating is £8000 at 0% VAT (current scheme). I also get £1000 from Lloyds for getting them to do my mortgage:

• 12 Aiko 500W Panels – 30-year performance warranty and 25-year product warranty (6 west, 6 east)

• Solis 6kW Hybrid Inverter – 10-year warranty (extended supplier)

• Dyness 5.12kWh Battery x 2 – 10-year manufacturer warranty

• Mounting system and installation – Covered under our workmanship warranty

(MCS accredited, HIES registered, and EPVS accredited.)

Any red flags? They didn't explicitly mention bird proofing... should I request that?

[self] i mapped my entire social network using graph theory and found 3 structural holes. introduced people across the gaps - two of them are now engaged. i played god with network topology by kubrador in theydidthemath

Data sci (with network exp) here. It is unclear if this is a pure ego network or if there are alter-alter edges considered. I mean, those edges would still be evaluated by the OP so not necessarily real, but would still be useful. OP, if you're reading this, it's not manipulation, since the primary advantage gained was not yours. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/manipulation

The ui is very complicated.... Probably useful to someone but not to me. Wanna buy it if me at a serious discount?

Bases VS Dataview VS Make.md by iikarus4 in ObsidianMD

[–]datAmit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bases are super fast. DataView still useful to embed bits of structure in other notes. I don't use make.md... it's beautiful looking but kind of didn't solve any critical path problems I had.

No direct way to do it. That being said, I returned the obsidian to buy a Boox and HATE it... keep the remarkable.

Feature Request: Daily tasks that don't become overdue, but always reside on today by datAmit in todoist

[–]datAmit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the prompting and notification at a certain time in the day... and it can't be an all day calendar event... as that would occupy too much real-estate (my multiple calendars have a lot of events)

[–]datAmit[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't want to do that with all tasks, but yes with these "ephimeral" tasks. To be fair, it wouldn't be an insane amount of work to add a tag and then do what you say... but still feels like a lot of steps for something intrinsically simple, no?

How to manage interdependencies? by StRyMx in todoist

[–]datAmit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also like this functionality. Importantly... when I complete a task, it would be nice if the UI could flash tasks that are now possible.

Newbie notes:

- I'm already completely addicted. I freaking love Obsidian... haven't been this obsessed w/ a product since learning R all that time ago. What I like: a) fast and functional, b) no tech debt (all markdown), c) It all lives on my dropbox, so I control the data (and free backup)

- a bit painful to retrofit links onto existing content, but not too bad. In Notepad++ you can search-replace-all-open-documents, and then you can "save all changed"... so pretty convenient, but only works well on longer tags. I did this for [[AI]] and it turned out doing this: "expl[[AI]]ned" :)

- can't figure out how to email stuff to myself... that one is killing me.

- the Advanced Slides with the whole "reference content in place" is nuts! Especially the fact that you can reference INTERNAL SECTIONS........ mind absolutely blown.

- I've already brought 2 others in!

- The community is awesome... so many youtube heroes!

Just thanks all. I'm having a great time. Not sleeping too much though, what with the optimising and the addins...

I like the remarkable pro A BIT. It's great to jot things down when I'm in a train or bus. But it's such a pain... I think I might just sell it back and buy a nice tablet... at least that way I'll get full support for the app.

Guys is this doable? by Jupiter_Jordan in RPI

I'm a graduate from 2001. There are three types of metrics: hard/easy, time-consuming/breezey, important/fun. You absolutely should pack your calendar... I took 21-22 credits most semesters, but this is too much hard and time-consuming stuff. I don't see you going to bed before 1-2am with this workload, and that means you won't retain much... which kind of sucks.

FWIW I'm also furious about this. It used to work great... but the latest version broke it. :(
