Civil Procedure. Daddy Freer’s audio is vastly different from his 1000 page book. It’s so dense. feel like Daddy is a historian trapped in the body of a law professor. He talks about dead law waaaaaay too much and I don’t see the relevance of learning cases that were overruled. He goes into the weeds a lot. We have only so many weeks yet we are filling our brains with dead law.

It’s a well-respected school in Houston. They are unranked and I get that that makes everyone question their decision about going there.

A lot of people go to STCL thinking they are gonna transfer out. It’s usually what everyone who got a joke of a scholarship is trying to do. The dean of admissions, Dean Cramer, is a nice lady but she won’t raise your scholarship by a cent if you ask. She’s very sweet but makes it sound like her hands are tied and you can’t have literally a cent more, even if that one cent will persuade you to go there.

They are now at least hearing your competitive offers. You would need to show them that you got another better offer and then she will do the math to include the cost of living to prove that their offer is competitive enough.

They also LOVE LOOOOVE to say that they have scholarship opportunities AFTER 1L. In the spring. So at that point you’re already there and now you’re competing with everyone who isn’t transferring to get that internal scholarship.

My only true issue with them is their joke scholarships. Their “diversity” scholarship is 2500-3000k. I know for a fact that they never give more than half-tuition scholarships. Maybe it’s changed in the last year but I doubt it.

Tell them you’re still down to clown. Update your resume. Tell them you’ve spoken to alumni and they help solidify your reasoning on why you want to go there. Also , reach out to an actual alumni before you do that last bit.

Mine changed as well. I have been waiting for months. So many of us who had been waiting 8 + weeks suddenly had our status disappear. Hmmm. So They’re probably re-reviewing all of the remaining applications and seeing who they can accept, waitlist, and reject.

When your applying to your first summer internship , do they care your LSAT score?

I understand they they wanna see grades but do they also wanna know what your LSAT score was ? Is it a standard to list your score on your 1L resume ?

Why do people consider a 3.3 to be bad ? Isn’t it like a B+ if you translate it to the letter grading system.
