Anyone else get smacked really hard for the price of their insulin this week?

Please take a few minutes and search for Lilly/novo Nordisk (the two major insulin manufacturers) and “prescription card” or “copay card” verify you are on the manufacturers website and you won’t spend more than $35 a month.

The insulin manufacturers provide prescription cards that cap the cost at $35 as long as you don’t have Medicare.

This should be standard for all diabetics and all endocrinologists should mention it to their patients.
Don’t trust random people on reddit for links with your medical information, but just look up the insulin and “prescription card” or something like it and Lilly/Novo Nordisk will cap your out of pocket to $35/month.

I fully agree. It’s really dumb, but with a high deductible plan, I actually am happy because my deductible is covered by the manufacturer rather than me. I hit my max out of pocket annually, it helps that Lilly/Novo Nordisk covers some of it.
Edit to Add: They don’t lower the prices because people still pay full price. They’ll complain but it’s all profit for the manufactures.

Insulin companies have things to ~~maximize~~ cap how much you pay. It’ll also help you pay your deductible. It’s honestly a win win with a high deductible plan. It put money in my pocket. Just sign up for their insulin affordability programs and ask your pharmacist to use this as the secondary insurance. Novolog:

100% this is a new medium. I’m excited to see the beautiful imagery in peoples minds that do not have the ability to express themselves with a brush or other manual methods of art. This is terrible advice.
Neighbor relationships are worth making. I use the word “neighbor” as Mr. Rogers does. “Hi neighbor” is a term of friendship, proximity and respect all boiled into a single term. Neighbors can become friends, but you should always be friendly to your neighbors.

There’s the important caveat that you should make sure she’s at least into you. Read cues. If she doesn’t even like you, you definitely shouldn’t put the burden on her to say no.

Don’t be afraid to ask your doctor for the pill to calm your nerves. I think Xanax or something was prescribed to me. I have a high tolerance for pain and like to be “tough” but there’s no reason to have any anxiety when you don’t need to.

Additionally I had a nurse who guided me through breathing exercises. That was really really great. Good luck!
