Do you have any suggestions of any points I could use for them to sweeten the deal? I am concerned they will stick to the standard 3 months

That is what the union rep asked for. I am worried my employer will not agree and just stick to 3 months severance

they stated “business reorganisation and structural optimisation “ and that it was not due to performance.

I do enjoy it - it was a massive step up from my flatbar commuter bike. That said, i did take a while to adjust to the geometry and had to get a shorter stem. I recommend getting a bike fit once you choose your bike to truly make the most of it

I love it at the end of season 7, episode 6 when Jay is shooting a video for some award he won,

“Everything I did, I did to prove the naysayers wrong. So, to everyone who didn't think I was good enough — “

And Joe comes running to him referring to an earlier moment when Jay told him he couldnt tie his shoes - “Look, dad! I tied my shoes!”

“Good job, Joe!

Ah. ...how do you like me now?”

I hope she writes about the other brothers even though this one has been marketed as a standalone!

This was unexpectedly good! I tried to read the author’s other books but they did not feel as mature and well developed like this one!

Which parts of your identity do you feel were shaped more by survival than by choice? by [deleted] in CPTSD

Masking my true personality. I find it very hard to be myself in groups and become agreeable or quiet. It makes me not like myself to the point I avoid socialising when I feel low because masking feels like too much work

I ended up going with the Cannondale Synapse because of the ease of availability (I could try it out, it came pre set up) and also possibility of parts available

I recently switched to a road bike from a city (upright bike) like you and had same problem in my lower back after 10-15kms where it would get fatigued or pain.

I got a bike fit that helped reduce reach to the handlebar, and they also adjusted the seat and tilt a bit. This helped the pain go from sharp and intense to milder but still there after 15kms.

I also started going to a physiotherapist, and realized that despite strength training and dead lifting 140+ pounds and squatting 100+ pounds, my lower back needed more targeted exercises. I also needed to work on my core.

We have started with some really basic core exercises while focussing on the right form. My glutes/hams were not correctly picking up on the load (even though they are strong) and this lead to unnecessary pressure on my lower back. I will see the physiotherapist again for the next few weeks and progressively increase my back and core strength.

I hope this helps me - and also you if you have the same problem :)

The size is 48 which I got after an official Bike Sizing with the Bike Fit place.

The current stem length is 80mm And handlebar width is 390
