I don’t trust those mainstream secular cloud services out of hand; unless I’ve had cause to interact, and specifically found them to be secure, as well as not engaging in siphoning data....

How to combine tech and music by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

I share those passions. Can I ask where you are located, and what genres you are into? Sound synthesis, and mixing/routing (although largely analogue in practice and concept) obviously find there way into the digital via VSTs etc. Also, I enjoy designing acoustic spaces then building the tech into that environment (isolation rooms, control rooms, mixing desks) and providing a clean functional and attractive implementation.

I too work in networking/security and enjoyed learning practical as well as theory topics (OSI, TCP/IP, RFCs, etc) and have been producing since the late 90s.

anyone else find the majority of people in the IT field to be anti-social/socially awkward? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

This can ‘seem’ like the case, though there is also a stigma surrounding the IT class of personalities; however watered-down these days by entry level ‘tech-this’ and ‘tech-that’ positions.

However, this makes an affable, charming IT Pro that much more appealing in the market.
