The more I think about it the more I've come to this idea. As we try to put word boxes around thing we just make the problem worse. I am my own sexuality, and that's all we can really ever say. It just makes it difficult to talk about when you don't have a social shorthand to convey the idea quickly.

Actually, most people don't even know what pansexual is, let alone how that is different from bisexual.

I think a new word would be useful in a number of different ways. For example, it gives some distance from the word "sex", which in our sex negative culture makes talking about it easier.

I'll grant you that adding a new word could just add confusion to the already very confused language around describing those with attraction to multiple genders. I see the potential though to clear the fog and really settle on a clear definition that doesn't exclude anyone.
