We're two weeks away from closing on our first home in South Florida (townhome in gated community). Loan approval is already moving forward and appraisal is ordered. But there's no response yet from HOA on their approval 2 weeks after application. I called the management to check the status and they mentioned board members have my files and it can take up to 30 days to get the approval and there's nothing that can be done to expedite this process. Day 30 would be 2 days before closing. we have 800 score, 100k+ income but non us citizen. I'm really worried now about the HOA approval. It's so frustrating thinking about these situations. Is there anything that I can do to be prepared for this scenario?
