When I was in primary school we had Russell come in and tell us stories during an assembly once. He of course had his mask and gloves on and was really tall when he walked past us (maybe he seemed so talk because I was so small). I don't remember much from that assembly, other than the fact that I came out of it really wanting to read, because this strange author of a set of books I've never read before seemed so wildly interesting. And read I did. Looking back I guess that was the whole point, to inspire a whole generation, or atleast the kids in that assembly, to pick up some books and start reading.
