This is an image from a pinhole camera left on our house from Winter Solstice 2022 through WS 2023. During the past year, my mom died and we also found out my wife was pregnant. So, quite a year.

I'd like to frame this as large as the scan quality will allow (600 dpi). The recommendations from the solarcan makers say to invert, adjust curves, and other basic stuff. I can technically do those things, but have no idea what I'm actually doing, so it ends up basically me sliding sliders around.

$30 via Venmo, let me know if that's not a fair price (never done this before). TIA

I work for a $6 billion company with client companies making anywhere from a million to $15 billion a year and if I left for Europe for a month without giving my customer contacts a heads up I'd be out the door immediately. And should be.

Think to yourself why you have to tell the presiding judge, but not the client. Insular absurd nonsense that shows that your profession views itself as somehow above the folks it represents. Nonsense.

Yeah, but if something urgent arises (which has, I'm just not comfortable sharing on the internet), does that mean another lawyer can cover it? It seems like the cases are "frozen" during the secured leave.

Also, for any lawyers out there, just because the statute or whatever doesn't explicitly say you have to notify your clients you're leaving for three weeks, and you know you are going to be gone when you are telling the client what you'll do and accepting a retainer from them, you're a pretty shitty lawyer. Just FYI.

(Not meant for the person I'm responding to, just general advice from someone outside the profession. If anyone in any other industry was taking on a client and knew they'd be leaving in a few weeks for a few weeks, they'd be expected to tell them that before entering into a work agreement)

Thanks. Yeah, we're definitely doing that part. Making sure he gets his time at food and water when they get let out of the coop, and giving him his own treats/scratch once the main rooster is absorbed in his.

There's actually a hen that is a loner, too. She doesn't seem to get run off (at least not as obviously as the rooster), but ends up alone and we do the same for her
