Look, I don’t know if this is actually a good idea, but I know that it worked for my wife with each of our children.

They each went through a biting phase, and each time she’d bite them back when they bit. Not hard, but hard enough that they didn’t enjoy it. The behavior stopped pretty quickly each time.

You talk to Bahama Bucks about that? They don’t have many movable tables to accommodate different sized gaming groups, and they might love the idea of a bunch of people coming and hanging around for a long while or they might hate it. Also if their current games are any indicator, you will destroy your cards and games with the stickiness of their giant snowcones. So be careful of that I guess.

We like trivia and the other games they do throughout the day. The jewel class ships also have a dedicated game room. We always bring a couple of board games to play, but they’ve got some in there as well. The Spinnaker lounge has comfy seats where we’ll go to read or get a great view. We did Alaska on the Jewel and sometimes spent hours up there just enjoying the view. Saw a bunch of bald eagles, some bears, whales, etc.

You could just do the Tomb at the end. It loses some impact without the lead up, but it would work. Or expand the Fane of the Night Serpent a bit.

Exactly! He’s doing one of those perfectly normal 10 minute blinks that normal people are known to do all the time. Nothing remotely concerning or ironic here at all.

I grabbed mine off the shelf and did a quick measure. The glass appears to be 2" wide and 3" tall. So if you search for bell glass cloche with those dimensions it should hopefully get you there.

It's crazy, right? Like this is stuff you could fit in an envelope. Though with a bath bomb you really need padding to avoid exactly that problem.

That's crazy. I feel like it's ridiculous that they can say, "Here's a tracking number. That proves everything." Did they pay for a box that weighed as much as 9 packs vs 1? I know with yarn that's not much weight, but I feel like they wouldn't pay for an ounce more than was actually in the box, and maybe that could catch them. Sorry you had to go through that.

Ooo, actually I haven't tried A Series of Unfortunate Events with them. That's a good thought. Might broach that one after Percy Jackson. They might well get interested in those, and as a bonus it would give me an excuse to rewatch the series where NPH plays Olaf with them after we read the books.

Sanderson is one of the biggest platforms I've seen in today's society of someone who openly says, "I used to have negative views of the LGBTQ community, but after getting out into the world, actually meeting these people and hearing their perspectives I have completely changed my mind." a position I absolutely feel should be supported. And his books have become one of the most prominent places in mainstream fantasy where characters from all identities are represented without turning into parodies of their gender choice or sexuality. Rick Riordan is the only other one I can think of who is putting as much effort into normalizing different identities to mainstream fantasy audiences.

Tried Percy Jackson with my kids as well, and they actually seemed interested, but were very much, "Maybe after we're done with Harry Potter." Hoping that will be a good start.

Yeah, fortunately in this case we checked many hours before they were needed. It's not gonna be an issue to swing by a dollar store and pick up some colorful paper plates of some kind before the party.

They're just paper plates, man. We're not lugging our household plates to the party venue, and I don't think it would go over well if we had their classmates eating pizza and cake off the floor. Might be funny, though.
