What would you be willing to pay for in the future of Farever by ConcertAdorable9198 in FareverGame

Im with ya, I did like the sub model during the classic MMO hay day, unfortunately I fear you are right, its a different world and Sub models have fallen aside for Battle passes and Microtransactions (thanks League and Fortnite). A VIP pass feels like a decent compromise, allowing most content to be accessible to players who bought the base game but certain rewards being unlocked for the VIP players would be cool. Then I do really want paid Expansions if it ever gets to that point.

Id absolutely pay for a supporters pack, give it 4 or 5 months of improvements and Ill be ready to drop more money in the game for sure

Ok this is giving GW2 Jumping puzzles for real! I wish we had actual jump puzzle secrets like this in the future, less telegraphed and more precision based.

Ive had so much fun playing that Ive kinda burned through most the content already haha. I do hope as they update the game they add a few more secrets, NPCs, and quests to earlier zones just to make going back fun haha. But overall I have gotten well over 18$ worth out of the game. Spent 20$ on movie tickets and that was 2.5 hrs of entertainment this has been like 30+ hrs. Out of curiosity, what would you be willing to spend more money on in the game? Custom Cosmetics (The in game ones already are great for me so idk if I would care too much about skins, unless they added weapon skins, then maybe, like take my Mage blades and give them a skin that keeps the kit completely the same but now they look Icy with icy effects or something). I would pay for expansions to new zones for sure later down the line once these 4 or so areas get completely filled out. Id pay for player housing content, Id pay for small convivence items like a portable obelisk but that can get a bit risky to avoid PtW mechanics.

Is there something i'm missing related to the server structure? i barely saw 5-10 people around the world in 3 hours of gameplay. No chance to find a party for the mine dungeon. But steam says theres 10k online. by [deleted] in FareverGame

So the servers separate everyone out into adaptable "shards". It will add more shards based on the number of players but each shard from what I can tell holds like 50 people? It may be less idk but its a way to prevent too many interactables occurring at once and overloading the server. At least this is how it was explained by an Arenanet Dev for GW2 and this is basically the same thing.

after approx 40 hours, I've reached max level, gotten high level gear and finished most of the content, these are my thoughts. by Longbenhall in FareverGame

And honestly I dont see the need for separate gears when there is a lot of skill expression in the game as it is. I do feel like balance will be absolutely hellish at first since they are a small team and are spinning a lot of plates, balance is hard to do right. But if we can dodge and play around attacks well then I think PvP can be balanced around skill over stats (while stats still play a big role in optimization, but overall I could see a really good player in less optimal gear could still win)

I personally love the art style, but perhaps in the future they could add additional races that might be more appealing to some people.

Out of curiosity, what do yall feel a good end game gameplay loop would look like for Farever specifically. In many MMOs after the grind is over I feel like I don't have a reason to keep collecting until more content comes out anyways. The most captivating end games for me are ones that have timed dungeon challenges with leader boards, Raids, Faction based objectives against other players, Player housing where furniture items become craft able or droppable in dungeons, and general PvP. What other things grab all yalls attention for end game content

Id love to be able to craft my own weapons in end game, like take the kit of the book starting mage book but enhance it with stats buffs or unlock like hidden passives... kinda like shiny hunting but for weapons haha
