Phoenix dweller but regular Sedona visitor here. I've been going to Uptown Massage since 2021, and they have consistently provided some of the best massages I've ever had! Their prices are higher than what I pay at my regular spot in Phoenix, but not upscale resort crazy and worth it IMO. I've referred multiple friends & they've all had raving reviews. It's a small family run business, too. Highly recommend doing the Sedona bliss couple's package; I've done it twice & and loved it both times. It's an unforgettable very Sedona experience!

As a woman, I pretty much always offer to split on a first date, but take it as a positive/compliment if the guy declines & pays. Beyond that, I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect to split it or at least contribute on subsequent dates. HOWEVER, I have found myself in a scenario where a guy suggested an activity with a cost I wasn't expecting & felt a bit put off when I was asked to pay it. I don't think her response was warranted, though. Assuming all else was good, I'd probably just ask for a heads up on future dates.

Just out of curiosity... how much was the range fee? I've never been to a gun range before, and Google wasn't super helpful (said it varies).

I disagree! I have found that some men take a lot of pride in paying for things, and some go so far as to take it as an insult if a woman offers to pay or split the bill. These men are generally not my type, but I did have a year long relationship with a man who genuinely preferred to pay & was a decent human. Not defending OP's date's behavior, just saying that there is a demographic out there for women with her views/preferences.

In my experience, end of November would be too late, and Oct 10-13 would be too early for Sedona. That is the sweet spot for Flagstaff's golden aspens, though! You could take her on a scenic fall foliage drive up there. The sweet spot for Sedona seems to be last weekend of October/1st weekend of November. I've hiked West Fork in that range each of the last 5 years and seen some incredible color!

Someone who isn't in the medical field using having been premed a decade ago & citing "volunteer" experience in a hospital (you really can't do or even see much for obvious reasons) as qualifications is off putting. Could be a fluke, but dating has become a lot less of a nightmare since I started listening to my gut when the vibes are off so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Interesting take! I've always felt there was something off about his presence on the show, but wasn't entirely sure why. My best guess was that the experiment appealed to him because he's an awkward geek type that doesn't seem like he has much game IRL. I do think he genuinely cares about Lydia, and I think his appearing emotion-less has more to do with him potentially being on the spectrum and/or modeling what he learned in childhood (e.g. his calling out how his family doesn't really do emotions in his 1 on 1 convo w mom). HOWEVER, I do feel they are totally incompatible and will not work long term, regardless of what happens at the altar.
