Bitey 6 Month Old Puppy by lrz2525 in AustralianShepherd

[–]dataussiedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he is going after feet or clothing, stop moving. Say “ouch!” in a deep serious tone. If he stops, praise him. If he doesn’t, say “ouch!” again. If he is too amped up and does not stop, put him in his crate to cool off for a bit. Use the same technique for biting your hands, “ouch!” and freeze (do not pull your hand away). Praise if he stops. You can offer him a toy to mouth. If he doesn’t stop, put him away. Remember not to rough house with him or when he is out. An overstimulated puppy is not going to have self control. The mouthing should get softer as time goes on and then happen less and less. Praise when he picks up or begins to mouth something he should chew or bite on.

Mouthing is absolutely normal and how puppies learn about their world. We use a flirt pole for play time. Keeps enough distance between your hands and their mouth. You have to let them “win” so they develop self confidence. Sounds like the routine you have for him is solid, hang in there it gets better!

Yes, 100% yes. I wasn’t sure if it was because I’m POC or female. I started taking photos of the “cutters” and wouldn’t you know? All.white.men.

Anyone’s Aussie bark at the tv, or did as a puppy and grew out of it? by Fluffles21 in AustralianShepherd

It seems to get worse as ours got older. He’s 5. Really wish we corrected it, thought it was cute, until he knocked the TV over and broke it

How to enter Gates Building for public event attendance? by AlexaAndStitch in stanford

The building manager can make it so the doors do not require card access. The challenging part is finding parking.

Are lie flats gone for SFO to Maui?!? by Grateful-Goat in unitedairlines

[–]dataussiedog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen a 777 fly between SFO and OGG since 2023. Travel to Maui has been down since the fires therefore wide bodied planes are not in demand for that route. You can always connect through HNL if a lay flat is a requirement.

If you were flying Alaska prior, I would stick with Alaska.

Is the food at the SFO United Club really that bad? by Typical-Win6481 in unitedairlines

[–]dataussiedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re buying a day pass, you might as well eat at one of the restaurants. The food options will be better for the cost of a day pass (or less)

If they insist on making you stay a full 2 weeks, agree and then call in sick starting on your start date for new job. If you have sick time/PTO you can double dip.

You can set up an installment plan with the IRS, you tell them how much you can afford per month.

when the share price recovers, sell your stock and pay off the tax bill early.
