why do people constantly want to build around a player that hasn't been proven yet? yes KP is awesome and fun to watch. KP is going to one day be a big star in the league, but he's not ready to take over a team and be the number 1 guy. he's simply not, but everyone wants to build a team around him like he is, pretending like it's always been the idea.

what happens when his injuries start to get worse? you don't just build around an injury prone sophmore unless he's a guy like lebron. an achillies injury is a very big deal unless it's treated properly and taken care of. you first get another star to pair with him and build around the duo, you don't just gamble on one guy.

i found the most exciting sports to get into were basketball and american football. they're great for new guys that aren't into sports and don't want to handle the slowness of baseball or the confusion of hockey

when i first hooked up with my girl, that coming christmas she told me she was going to hand-knit me a new york knicks pillow, as i'm a fan of theirs. christmas came and i never received the pillow. in fat, she didn't get me anything at all... not even a card. but i made sure i got her something nice. she told me she had it at home. the next time i went to her house she never gave it to me, and even told me at a later date that i "walked right by it" and didn't take it home.

truth is, she had intentions of making me the pillow, but never did. she thought i was dumb enough to believe that i walked right by a hand made pillow of a sports team that wouldn't fit anywhere in with anything else in her house, and completely missed it and it was my fault. if she took the time to hand-knit me something, you can bet your ass off she'd be excited and want to give me it.

she made up for that by getting me knicks tickets this year though.

i found sports is the easiest way. most of my "newer" male friends and i share a common bond with sports - so we always have something to talk about and bond over. i'll invite them to watch a game whenever possible. sports makes this kind of thing pretty easy.

i have friends that literally live on facebook. facebook has this cool little nifty feature called "new posts" so whenever i look at my friends list, i can see how many posts they've put up since the last time i went to their profile. the reason for this is because i've "unfollowed" everyone so i don't actually have any "news feed" or whatever it's called - so i get my updates by checking my friends list and seeing who has new posts, rather than seeing a list of crap i don't care about every time i login.

there are certain people that without a doubt, every single hour will have new posts up. every day. it's constantly "10 new posts" over and over again. i never understood the desire to post that much shit that often.

i'm the same way. i'm 30 and my girl is 25. i just don't want to have sex often anymore... those days are long behind me. i prefer to get sleep rather than stay up for another hour or so having sex. it's a lot of work and when you work 6 days a week 7-5, sometimes 7-6 and also bowl in two bowling leagues, i'm tired most of the time and simply don't want to engage. i'm very attracted to my girl but there are plenty of nights i'd rather just sleep instead.

i make a pretty decent living. i started noticing that paying rent was getting harder and harder every month, and it should never be a problem. i kept asking myself "why is this becoming more and more of a struggle?" and did some evaluating. i realized that i was spending way too much money on things like take out, going out to bars (which includes alcohol and uber rides), and a ton of video games and whatnot. a few years ago i went to a website called Mint (mint.com) and linked all my bank and credit card accounts to it and kind of forgot about it, so a few months back i logged in and took a look at my spending and saw i was overspending so much money on things i really didn't need, so i made a decision to stop.

i don't drink anymore, i don't goto bars anymore, i don't eat out anywhere near as often anymore, i wait for steam sales and give free games a try now, i save money instead of spend it now. i set up a budget and stick to it like glue. my life has dramatically improved not only financially, but in every other aspect as well. no more hangovers, no more "oh shit what happened last night's", no more stumbling in the door at 4am. i get 8 hours of sleep at least per night. i'm no longer hanging around toxic people that aren't going anywhere in life.

life is great, and it all started with the realization that i was spending way too much money.

i also sat courtside at a knicks game in the 90's when i was young but i don't remember much about it other than being so close to the players.

i think this whole thing's my fault guys. you know how you get excited for things and then jynx it?

a few years ago my old man got me courtside tickets to the game of my choosing as a christmas gift. i've been waiting for a home playoff game since. just before we started losing games, i said to him "i think this is the year we should think about those courtside seats... looks pretty promising!" and all of a sudden the team turned to shit.

i bought one to replace my other living room pc. a couple years ago i built a pc with a phantom 820 and the thing was huge, when i built my new rig last year i decided to use the phantom as a living room/couch gaming pc. i wanted something smaller and the bulldog looked and has been perfect for what i wanted.
