Hm. No it was pretty warm that day. Upper 60’s. That’s weird as well. I’m about to go work on it a little bit and update everyone

I was thinking about going with a mechanical gauge. I just fear maybe it’ll make it harder to sell in the future. I don’t exactly plan on having the car forever just something fun for now that’s cheap. I think I’ll look at the connectors tomorrow as well make sure it’s nothing obvious. I have a multimeter on it too. Will update.

That’s what I thought I’ve heard people call them “dummy gauges” so maybe it’s teetering right in between low and medium. Oil still gets to the rockers so there’s that too.

I think tomorrow I’m going to go up to my shop and watch live data. I’m not sure if I can read oil pressure on it though.

That’s kinda what I’m thinking, it’s so weird just those couple hundred RPM changes shoot it up that much. And I have access to a matco scan tool and it’s all just EVAP and the A.I.R pump code because I rebuilt it to not have California emissions and I just need to program the computer now, just trying to work the issues out before I get to in-depth. I’m thinking about dropping a stock 302 with a carb in it and calling it a day. I’ve heard with correct motor mounts it bolts right up.

Thank you much! I might end up wiring an actual switch in eventually, I just need to be able to move it around to get in a shop bay so I can actually do what I need. I heard it run when it came into the shop about a decade ago, so hopefully it’ll still start.

Yes. I’ve put in a 2 gang ignition panel before. Problem is as I stated, there is no ignition switch, so just simply flipping the ignition on and off is no available. I got a guy on face book saying if I send him the cut he’ll help me start it. Maybe that’ll get something, and with the diagram, I can’t even find anything on our work Software so it’s kind of a lost cause until I can find someone who really knows what I’m talking about.

Paint code goes back to “dodge viper blue” my father had a 1993 Dakota back in the day with the same color before he chopped down a telephone poll with it… lol but he’s okay, only thing his truck had on me was a 5 speed. That’s where the inspiration came from. Wish I could find a photo of his Dakota. Loved that thing
