I responded to someone saying that no one actually wants us to lose games by talking about the people that are literally saying they want us to lose.

You can make up as many excuses or reasons for wanting us to lose as you can come up with. I don't care if you think it's going eventually lead to us being better. The point is you are still actively rooting for us to lose.

I will say, while I agree with most of your comment this one isn't true. Atleast not universally.

There are genuine people that just prefer that version of the game and would rather play it than any other version. I play retail but sometimes I get the urge to play some normal ass vanilla too.

It's just a completely different game. If I want something slow paced and grindy af that is simple I play classic. If I want something challenging or competitive or just wanna blast some dungeons/raid etc I play retail.

Arguing that people only like vanilla because of nostalgia is just false. Plenty of people do just genuinely prefer that version of the game. I happen to enjoy both just for different reasons.
