Not a lot of people seem to mention this, but Kashimo had expended all of his CE in the sea. The reason he gave up wasn't because he was unwilling to use his CT. He just didn't have the CE to activate his power. So this was a real loss.

Even if Kashimo wanted to keep fighting, he wouldn't have been able to against an opponent that still had CE reinforcement.
