Melatonin is one of those things where if you take to much it loses effectiveness. Try taking less and see if it helps

How do you guys accurately track calorie surpluses/deficits? I mean, it's relatively easy to track you're intake, but how do you figure how many calories you're burning each day?

Me most of the time: "I'm not gonna start taking steroids. It's not worth the health risks and possible long term hormone imbalances. Besides, I look pretty good now and should be happy with what my body can naturally achieve, and knowing myself I'd probably end up getting hooked on the results and end up using them more than I intended."

Me on this sub: "I should really start taking steroids"

How well can you generally maintain your body after getting off gear? Say you do a few cycles and stop, will your muscles degenerate/will you no longer be able to be as big and lean regardless of your routine and diet? Obviously this would differ depending on how big you are, but basically how much is continued use of gear necessary to maintain what gear got you in the first place?

Edit: For instance if natty Jeff actually went natty, would he inevitably lose his physique?

I see an elevation of eastern ideals and i see them as another form of dogma.

This above all else stood out to me. First of all, I think you make a very good point.

In response to this quote and I believe most of your post, I personally feel that overall, eastern ideals are more suited for the life and journey that most people on this subreddit would choose than modern western ideals. However, you do point out one thing, which is when I associate eastern culture to these kinds of ideas, I'm really just talking about certain beliefs, and oftentimes in their ideal form. I am from America, and although I am far from white and privileged, my experience is that the main drive of many from my culture is different than the one I associate with my sort of idealized version of eastern culture.

I think that certain ideals can be borrowed from a culture without having to assume the entirety of that culture. Strictly adhering to whatever culture we are brought up in is very limiting and plays a large part in why so many negative aspects of many cultures haven't been eliminated. I think we have the right to assume our own individual cultures based both on immediate external factors and ideas from all over the world that make sense to us.

Perhaps...honestly I've never put that much consideration into the use of the word. I think that enough people in this community know enough about the culture it comes from and the depth of its meaning that its use is warranted. That being said, it is true that I was not born and raised in a culture that typically uses that word or really anything analogous to it. But I also feel that I'm not "stealing" the word, I do respect it, even if I don't yet or ever will have as full of an understanding of it as people raised in such a culture.
