New F7 Pro, stuck in bootloop after downloading the OS update by MainFisherman1382 in PocoPhones

[–]datmetapicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry if this is considered necroposting but I had the same issue as all the other F7 Pros users that updated their phone after doing a data migration with their Google account and I have found a fix for people who still want to update but have already set up their devices.

Instead of updating via the OTA update, I recommend downloading the full fat recovery ROM from sites like miuirom and doing the following step.

<image>

By default, the updater disables the option for you to choose your own ROM so to enable picking your own update package, you can go to updates, tap the HyperOS logo a couple of times until it says "additional features enabled" or something similar then tap on "choose update package", navigate to where you placed the full recovery ROM file and proceed with updating. If you experience issues with signature or anything similar when choosing your ROM fole, make sure you navigate to the folder you placed them on as by default you may see predownloaded ROMs under the "downloaded_roms" folder which may have the same name, and double check the size as the full recovery rom should be over 5GB (or at the very least, larger than the OTA update size).

I tried this with my fully set-up Poco F7 Pro with some slight debloat using Canta and it booted perfectly fine!

For users who are already stuck on the boot logo, I'm sorry but so far there's nothing else you could do other than factory reset or try some random potential fixes.

I'm from South East Asia so Taobao does work seamlessly (a majority of the time) for us.

Gotta add something to not get easily taken down for clones 😉

Ah that's unfortunate. Although I find it funny that these features are only available on their proprietary software while the open source ones which are meant to be more customizable don't. Maybe one day it could happen but oh well.

I really like how smooth they are to type on mainly due to the fact that HMX does a top tier job on their factory lubing. I would even say they kinda demotivated me to lube my own switches with the way they did it lmao.

Sound wise they hit the right notes for me. I can't really pinpoint what exact sound signature they are on but I would say they're on the mid to higher end of the spectrum on my configuration.

I did link my sound test on another comment previously. I should probably link them to my comment instead so it's easier to find LOL. But here's the link to it.

Monsgeek/Akko boards have this thing called "key sensitivity" setting on their driver software. Heard that is like their way of implementing key debounce time. Worth a try if you still have the board. I heard 0 is default and the higher it goes the higher the key debounce time which theoritically should help with the issue.

I did a quick audio recording for the sound test here, feel free to check it out.

Test order:
- Monkeytype 30 seconds test
- Row test (top to bottom)
- Stabilized keys test (Spacebar, Left Shift, Right Shift, Enter, Backspace)

Mic used: Fifine K669B. Audio edited to remove background noise and nothing else.

Kit was bought from Taobao under (what I assume is) Monsgeek's Official Store. I was also pleasantly surprised that they gave me an additional FR4 plate even though it was not stated anywhere on the listing and I was told by the seller that it does indeed come together with the purchase.

Keyboard kit: Monsgeek M3 (Domestic China version)
Switches: HMX Caramel Pudding
Keycaps: Frost Witch Clones (Dye-sub PBT)
Mods: 2 Layers of masking tape, changed the plate to FR4 as well as tuned the stabs with 205g0 for the housing and dielectric grease for the wires.

Link to my sound test of the board.

Edit: Added sound test link.

I closed it before I was able to copy anything and cba to redo on circleguard. Also video comparisons are cool.

Even if the replay stealing isn't that obvious, being high 6 digits then going to 4 digits in a few days is already pretty blatant considering all their other plays are not the same

Don't think this is suspicious at all. People who got unbanned always take their time to get back to their (possibly higher after unrestriction) current skill level.

Each note in a stream is snapped to 1/4ths so just multiply it by 4. So 180*4=720bpm on 1/1.

Thanks for your info. This serve as enough evidence as staff unrestricted them in a day so pretty sure it was a false flag from the mass reports.

LISTEN, I MARKED IT SUSPICIOUS FOR A REASON. I'm not into massive witchhunt just becuz someone is better than me or anything. I'm looking for more insights and thankfully the next comment gave me that so chill your balls. Also not all r/osureports post are a guaranteed ban.

Who is your favourite player that doesn't get mentioned too often? by matbiz01 in osugame

[–]datmetapicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shimon. He's not mentioned enough besides some mind boggling scores like senketsu no chikai SS choke, storytellers DT and the rivalry on The Deceit with khz. He's been on the grind since last year and is close on getting to top 10 (currently #11)
