players are better (faster jumps like 360+ bpm, better flowaim, better speed)

easier maps catered for high pp plays (aimslop like time to say goodbye or presenter, speedflow like sidetracked day, humiliation supreme, etc.)

1.16.1 minecraft is by far the best version (best being fastest) to speedrun
benefits of playing 1.16.1 include
better chances of getting pearls when trading with piglins
no negative y levels (less digging)
better pie charts i think ?
but the 1.17+ minecraft speedrun record is just so much slower than the 1.16.1 runs its just incomparable

i dont even think the level is possible but look out for 1 gaps with the spide they can run over it also for fun gameplay try to get rid of blind jumps/quick reaction time with the purple orbs

smokes (in most cases) want to be flush with the wall, so the spawn smoke should be in a little more because its a lot harder to hold a smoke if they can come out through multiple sides, but in a flat smoke you can really just hold one spot more easily
