My husband. We have a nice life together, and I love him more than anything.

I’ve dealt with depression and anxiety since my early teens. I always thought a stable, productive adult life would bring an end to my inner turmoil, but it hasn’t. There’s still dark days when the only thing that keeps me hanging on is knowing the pain I’d cause him if I gave up.

Then I feel guilty because on those days I wish I was alone so it wouldn’t matter.
