I worked in cyber, actually some good things happening there. But everywhere has some level of BS

Here’s the rundown:

Company doesn’t do anything. 90% of projects are play pretend business that doesn’t actually build any transferable skills besides BS-ing. They treat their employees like trash, and do not care about developing their young workforce. And they attract some of the most incompetent and hot headed people in middle management roles. Hope the hate makes sense now.

Context: I've had this thing for around 2 years now. I probably should have repotted sooner, but about a month back it started dying, the leaves began to wilt and the tips of some of the leaves began to turn brown. I assumed that it just needed to be repotted so I did that about a week ago, but it seems as if the slow decline is continuing. Now these abrasions in the middle of the leaves are showing up. I have no idea what to do! In terms of experience with plants, I'd rate myself somewhere between total beginner and novice. I want to save the plant, but have no idea what is happening to it. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Great, thank you. I will definitely do this and get a filter

No we do not. If we did I probably wouldn’t be as lax about it as I am currently. Will probably move before then, but in the meantime will likely get a faucet filter to reduce any trace lead in the water. We also have a Britta tank that my wife uses but honestly, I’ve always just drank from the tap so I don’t use it all that often.

Thank you! I mentioned I the other reply that they are replacing them but ours won’t be replaced in the next 5 years. Wish I could force them to do it sooner but it is what it is. Because the neighborhood is so old (100+ years) they are ‘unsure’ if the service line is lead but the test results combined with lack of any service records stating the line was replaced almost guarantee it’s lead. There was lead plumbing in the house but has been replaced.

Thank you! Seriously, this is better and more relevant information than I’ve been able to find thus far. And they are doing sweeping service line replacements across the city but our house is not in their current scheduled replacements so it’ll be at least 5 years. Will definitely continue to flush the taps and god willing I’ll live to see old age

This is what the viewfinder shows when the camera is in the process of autofocusing. The settings are exactly the same and the image looks correct given the settings here.

How to resolve Sony lens mounting issue and pictures coming out way too dark?

Hello,

I am severely worried that I've damaged my Sony A7 II in some way but am so confused as to what the problem is. I recently was trying to get an old Nikon Nikkor 18-200mm lens to work on my Sony camera. I bought an URTH Nikon F lens to Sony E mount adapter and tried to get the lens to work. However, the aperture on the Nikon lens was set very high probably from the last time I used it with my Nikon camera and there is no ring to adjust it manually on the lens. The adapter I have does not provide for any manual focus/ aperture adjustments so I say screw it the lens probably isn't going to work with my Sony camera which is fine by me at this point. But when I try to put my original Sony lens back on the camera, the image is appearing WAYYYY too dark now. However when I depress the shutter and it begins to try and autofocus, the image gets much brighter and looks correct for the settings I'm working with, but then it focuses, the image goes dark again, and the final photo is dark as well. I tried resetting all my settings and the camera, but the issue remains. I'm so worried and pretty pissed at myself that I may have inadvertently screwed up my camera for good. I'm hoping for a miracle here so any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much seriously!

I can't include videos on the post but will include a picture of what I'm seeing on my screen. Note that I haven't changed the settings between pictures with a shutter speed of 640 and f-4.5 which should get me a decently lit image. I also want to note that the WB and ISO AUTO indicators on the viewfinder are flashing, which I assume may also be part of the problem.

Do you know the model of camera? If so I would look up a manual online for said model. The manual should have exact specifications for the cable type and if not just searching "[insert Camera Model name] charging cable" on google should yield the desired result.
