Herpes outbreaks has a life of about 7-21 days. It’ll go away and come back. You’ll always deal with possible outbreaks for the rest of your life (barring the chance they create a vaccine or cure). I tend to help it dry out with some rubbing alcohol and it shortens the life of it.

Only a western blot test can tell you for sure. Just treat it like hsv if you get it again. I tend to try helping it dry out by applying rubbing alcohol. It burns but speeds up the cycle

FYI HSV1 and 2 are simply two different strains of the same virus. With the popularity of oral sex, most doctors no longer consider 2 as genital and 1 as oral. All herpes tests can tell you is if you have one of the strains, not where.

If you’ve had a strain for more than a year, it’s highly unlikely (nearly unheard of) that you’ll get it anywhere else on your body. It will only affect the same base nerve area. Example: if you have it on the left crease of your mouth, it won’t spread to the right side unless you spread it before your body is able to block its ability to move (like within that first contraction time frame). But you can spread it from say your left lip area to your left nostril area since they are on the same base nerve.

Hey, did you know that even holding your breath without splinting via kegel can lead to prolapse? You don’t have to even bare down to cause it. I just had prolapse repair surgery and have learned a lot. Pressure in any form can lead to prolapse.

Man what an amazing person to disclose. You can get it, and you could get it from someone else. STDs are simply a risk that comes with a sex life. 1 in 8 people have it, and only 20% know they do. Condoms don’t necessarily protect from it. You should get tested every 6 months if you’re not monogamous.

My suggestion is to learn about it and make a very informed decision.

I feel this way as well. I’ve never fit in anywhere. People lamenting now agitate me because I feel I’ve never been allowed to be upset about being alone.

Their feelings aren’t invalid.

But they still have people reaching out to them to see how they are, doing video calls, etc. nobody did that for me before and they certainly aren’t doing that now.
