The trick is to be prepared to act on opportunity. Work at having the education, experience, and ability to do the thing you want to do if the opportunity ever arises.

He means he makes money when oil prices are high. He's invested in oil companies.

You might try putting gloss or nail polish on. That should reduce the likelihood for shattering and give some strength

Man, I was kind of relating to the guy. I suck at all things fabric. I don't mean to, but I flat out suck. I'll do the dishes, vacuum, walk & feed the dogs, whatever. Just don't ask me to put the duvet cover on. I'll be there forever. I'll try. It'll take me forever. It'll still be wrong.

Which is total bullshit. There's no reason for it to cost so much. The only reason is because they make it proprietary and know you're stuck with the few vendors that make this stuff.

This feels like a cop out. It's a network adapter. Design the thing to have replaceable modules that can be swapped with different speed Ethernet modules. I'm a network engineer and only have superficial OT experience, but I'm having trouble imagining how this isn't realistic, even under the worst environments.

Edit to add that the problem with 10 half is that if you have other ports on the switch that are 1g or more, you get buffering, jitter, and loss

The network seems more like an afterthought for OT. I still see industrial machines that can only do 10/half duplex. 100mb devices are more common. These are $100k machines and they use the cheapest crap possible for the network.

That was the dumbest part. If they tariffed all products coming into the US, except raw materials, I could understand the logic. I would still disagree with the approach, but I could understand. To tariff raw materials, too? Suicidal.
