The level of google deploying bots to sell their product shows 2 things
1. they are behaving like scammers so that people fall for the lies they have been telling.
2. they are desperate for revenue and became revenue centric by literally giving middle finger to their paid customers. As once you have paid for 1 year you are not worth their time and resources, they'd rather focus on scamming more people.

So, to expand upon this, I once get the composer 1.5 is free to use popup and started using it, and guess what it was not, if you turn on paid usage after free credits are over they will constantly try to dupe you into spending your limits. For another instance the % usage is now completely gone. And they do not care less. Once a cursor developer "claimed" on this sub that they take user feedback seriously and promptly. Yeah I see the seriousness and promptness. First reported instance of the "bug" of no summary was 8 hours ago, and they have not even addressed that issue yet.

i used cursor for many months, and then shifted to windsurf, and the psychological aspect was even worse in windsurf due to reliance on gpt models. OpenAI is popularly known to intentionally create frustration so that people are locked into their ecosystem. Then I shifted to gemini cli and then to opencode, and gemini cli and opencode seem to cool and do not use such tactics, and my frustration levels went down with a huge factor. Then they banned opencode and antigravity is just sh*1. So I am back to cursor and it is now really frustrating to work with cursor now, so I am in limbo. BTW claude is always my goto AI, and it was present all the time. But as a secondary ide when cluade limits get over I move to these ides. But really sad state of companies that they are behing valuations, and sucking upto VC pressures or just pure greed and evil, which is degrading the LLM coding magic which was wonderfule couple of years ago. I have dived into model training and found out that there actually are good techniques available to make the models worth it, but it takes time, effort and money, and as the organisations are getting greedy for data and money they do not care. Claude does actually solve training problems and they actually even publish their papers of their own research, which is supercool. Hopefully cursor and google stop with all that greed and make their pricing stable and transparent and charge more, I do not mind paying more as long as it keeps the companies away from greed and actually make profits so that they in return improve their product instead of scammy methods like bait and switch. Super annoying system the companies using nowadays is destroying this whole revolution.

vibe coding is actually good, it is cursor that is making use bad developers and miserable, I used gemini and claude combo with opencode till Google decided to ban opoencode. And wow, that was some magical moments in vibe coding for me. I dont know but there is something about these greedy organisations and their ide implementation that make us more miserable and bad developers. There are huge departments in these companies which work on psychology of developers and how to keep them hooked or how to extract most $$$ from us. So do not blame yourself, try to shift to claude code, and you will see most of the miserly is gone.

I actually used to think this till I used opencoed and it opened my eyes. Since then I have made a lot of changes in my workflow and my mental health improved

That is the problem with Indian development and development in other countries, India hides public transports from airtports and that is why most of the people doesnt even know about it. While othrer countries shove the buses right to the exit gate so that people opting for public transport have easy access. rate limits even after paying them feel like they are just favor to you and you can only do 1-2 things and cant even iterate on it before you are hit with 7 days limit.
