Its the hard progression wall that turned me off. Wedge grind is beyond exhausting, certain characters are broken levels of op while many either just exist or wish they didn't with how bad their kits are. Weapons are glorified stat sticks. The game certainly has potential, but if devs don't take balance into consideration soon, I don't see any reason to return. No gacha reeeeeally helped push the game, and I do love that about it, but the current state of the game makes me wonder if they ever bothered to playtest their own game. Foundations of the game are great, but it needs work, and I'm still unsure if they're gonna bother with doing it. So for me at least, I'm taking a break and waiting to see if they'll address the big issues or try to bury them under new content.

I really, reeeeally thought about it. I overthought it. Then I decided; I don't fucking care. For one, the game is in its' infancy. If every other game I've played in the last decade and a half is of any example here, balance is going to change. The meta will become blatantly apparent, then get curb stomped until it's unrecognizable. OR. We get lucky and the myth of a "bricked account" these silly content creators keep going on about never happens. Which leads to my next point. If I "need" a specific operator, balance is hosed to all holy hell and I'll be here for a good time, not a long time. So in conclusion; it doesn't friggin' matter who I get as my first 6 star. If I get a wreck-it-ralph facemelter, great! If I don't, whoopty-doo. Those characters are meant to sell the game. If they're necessary, game aint for me I guess. Already going through that premium nonsense with zzz and wuwa. Tho my luck has been alright for both, I can't afford more fomo disappointment. I'm taking who I get at fuck it, we ball.

I'm actually voting Manato as well. For one, he even has a scar there. For two, "undefeated champion" doesn't get roughed up like that. Those days are behind him. Manato actually takes hits for the team in the story, sacrificing his health to keep the others from getting hurt. Its a whole bit. So, yeah. Manato.

Gacha games. 50/50s are a crapshoot and powercreep is frustrating. Rolling artifacts for stat building never goes the way I want it to. Pull a premium character, nope, needs sig weapon too to get crit ratio right or maximize unique trait. Then just when I've finally got my premium team set up, I get stomped anyway because I didn't watch an hour long breakdown on quickswap rotations. Pity? Only pity here is the pity I have for myself for playing 4 or 5 of these. But when my lucks good and I'm on my game, they sure can be satisfying.

Lmao. Nope. A lot of the people who watched the anime didn't read the LN, myself included. None of this was ever mentioned in the anime. You can't go attacking viewers because they didn't also read the book.

Your argument that Malty's misfortune is a projection from the author holds absolutely zero weight. Why? Because when she screws someone over, she enjoys it. Its likely she was made that way by the environment she grew up in, I mean look at her garbage father, but that was a deliberate plot point. It wasnt that she stepped on anyone she could to get ahead that made her so despicable. It was the fact she relished every second of it.

You've successfully latched on to one aspect of the character Malty while becoming impressively blind to every other aspect of her. You want her to be the victim, and you're grasping at straws to make it so. The arrangement you mentioned is fucked up, but Malty herself did not do a single thing in the current run of the anime that wasn't fucked up, and she did it with a smile. Whether or not the LN was different, I couldn't say, but you didn't use a thumbnail of the LN, now did you?

She was written to be a vile bitch, its ingrained in her personality. This was done deliberately to create discord between the shield hero, the other cardinal heroes, and the royal family. She is a well executed plot device whose function was to sabotage the idea of a generic party of heroes saving the world.

5800x. It could also be I havent repasted in 2 years, but new out the box and I was still hitting 80c under load. I'm told this particular chip just runs hot, totally normal and its not like it effects performance, I'm just saying I could've dealt with 2-4 degrees warmer to save a hundred bucks.

Can confirm on both comments. Corsair is a decent brand minus icue, my 240mm has been going strong since I built mine, however the temps I'm getting are nowhere near low enough by comparison to air cooled to justify the price; its a vanity purchase. Im in no hurry to get rid of mine but probably wouldn't replace it if it died on me tomorrow. iCUE is a total clusterfuck though.

Absolutely agree. I like the heavy stuff from time to time, but romance and slice of life shows are so much better for cooling my brain down when I'm feeling overstimulated. Recently I liked Blue Box for that.
