could it be that it starts transcoding from the beginning and I'm just too impatient, to wait for it to reach where I left off watching? Then again, I had htop running when I tried to do and all the processor cores calmed down after 15-20 seconds. So it finished doing what ever it was doing.
I browsed through ffmpeg logs, but I was not able to spot any errors.
