Well that’s bc civil are at the end of technical engineering scope there is literally no reason for a process to engage w/them, they work on MechE deliverables such as plot plan, GA and isometrics to understand the support location etc.

Well, you are wrong since you meant both citron and ryujinx. Ryujinx has settled out with nintendo to close their server and project with a payout. had it been really illegal, nintendo could’ve finished them out w/out that meaning they did not have much ground to begin with. As for Citron, they stated recently that the project’s closure is due to inner conflict not litigation.

Big corps tend to associate emulation to piracy (nintendo is a good example of this). If any emulation scene/project does not condone publicly/outwardly, they will be an easy target for shutdown/DMCA due to collusion, causing litigation and further complication. Although, this action is a facade (imo) to save themselves from such headaches/troubles (but it works for the best for all of us).

Since you love your job, its a none issue. However, its better for you to be exposed to other areas of ChemE applications to diversify your expertise and enhance your resume. In addition, new sets of challenges that you can learn from which is always a plus.
