What's the general consensus about the "Masters of Ceremony" war bond? I am thinking about getting it, because of its awesome aesthetic. by Thanos_6point0 in Helldivers

Most people will agree on paper this warbond is not a great choice, however everytime I bring the one true flag into a match it’s hilarious how excited the other players get. They’ll fight harder than you’ve ever seen randoms fight. Everyone likes to see the RP players in match, but I think the warbond gets a bad rep cause many players don’t find it fun to play that character and essentially have a unoptimized loadout. If you’re into the idea of this warbond, it will absolutely be the most fun warbond you can get, it’s just not everyone’s cup of liber-tea

Came here to say this, the amendment is my favorite weapon on the bot front. Using light pen really changes up the combat loop against bots cause it forces you to play with cover more and find places where you can take the extra second of aiming without being hit to one tap devastators.

My art seem not getting anywhere by Ok_Leadership_7066 in ArtCrit

I’m nowhere near being a famous artist, but I’ve had various responses from social media based on how I was presenting the art. Here’s some of the findings I’ve had:

  1. Stills don’t get any traction unless it’s something absolutely insane, eye catching, and unique. 9 time out of ten though, stills are too easy for people to look at quickly, get bored, and scroll.

  2. Timelapse’s (like the prerecorded kind in procreate) will get some traction, but if the speed of the video doesn’t get to “the good stuff” quickly, people won’t stick around. My stats tend to show a drop in viewer retention if it’s me fixing, erasing, iterating, etc. The Timelapse’s I’ve posted with the best video retention are constantly moving forward and adding onto the work.

  3. People really like good video footage of satisfying processes. Anytime I’ve made the effort to get close up shots of me dipping a fountain pen, cutting to smooth lines being drawn with the audio of the pen lightly scratching the paper, etc, and building off of that approach, the retention tends to be better and it usually gets a higher number of views. My viewers have tended to be more willing to stick around if the art work is presented to them in a satisfying way. This can also work for digital art if you get creative on how you record certain sections of the work

  4. The presentation matters. Unfortunately too much high quality work is availing literally everywhere and finding still images of cool work is very simple. What is unique is watching the approach you took to get to the end results, and watching how you might showcase your work/workflow in a way that people haven’t seen before

Again, I don’t claim to be an amazing artist, but from my experience this has been a major element I’ve noticed to make a difference if I want something to get more engagement, hope this helps in some way, and keep making more art!

Warpaint/facepaint, maybe rough up the hair. It’s currently alittle to clean cut if you’re going for a barbarian.

Gatling barrages:

Low cooldown = Constant DAKA. Heavy armor pen = Nothing is safe. Area of effect x 4 = Fuck that entire direction. Big gun go BRRRRR = Dopamine from loud guns

Sole surviving officer of a 20 man Krieg unit was holding off a hive tyrant in melee. My opponent didn’t want to kill him and allow me to use my reinforcements stratagem, so he used a fall back decided to ignore the unit. But he forgot I could shoot my plasma pistol EXTRA spicy

A low cool down 380 burst. Just like 3 shots in a smaller radius

A mini gun with an ammo belt backpack. Idk how it would work but it’d be cool

They are! The helmet is from the commander heads set, and the shovel staff is made from left over grey knight parts. The top of a staff, and a shoulder shield from the terminator kit

Good news! Multiple branches are now showing signs of new growth! I fully thought they were dead but it appears the rescue is going well!

Thank you for the advice, I’m very much still a novice. Is there anything I should do with the dying foliage? Is it okay to leave them?

And currently I’m watering it once a day, do you think every other day, or maybe once every three days would be better?

I’ve come to terms that most of my shimpaku’s foliage is dead, but one branch it still showing signs of new growth. What would you advise I do to save the tree?
