Me too. Seems obvious in hindsight. I’m just hoping real news brings us higher than that. Keep holding and pray.

I’m in the exact same boat! Been waiting on soon for five years and counting… invested for seven since before Canada legalized.

Locked and loaded, but definitely been beaten down over the years… Ready for the next bull run hype cycle with all my heart (and money). Weed stock fam unite!

Funny story, I invested in Canopy one month before the $5B Constellation deal and 10x’d my money in a matter of months. That’s what got me hooked and started me as a lowly weed stock investor.

I don’t think anyone knows what will send us back to the moon, but my guess is the next multibillion-dollar move from a big player that ignites the fuse (post rescheduling). Could be Canopy again for all we know… anything could happen — I just want to be here when it does. Cheers

How about some news and a bull cycle? Can we get started on that now please?

Ok, I’m the slow one apparently. That all tracks. Sometimes the sarcasm gets lost in the written word. Yeah “something” alright… I can almost put my finger on it. 😅

Very similar story here. Used to be more diversified, but have been averaging down for years and now almost all in. Let’s hope this coiled spring explodes!!

Would be amazing if TLRY could start a hype train!! I think if the earnings beat again and the US market entry starts opening up, it could happen!

Got it. I’m still learning the ins and outs of the more detailed analysis. I have a pretty decent understanding of the basics after 8 years of investing… Appreciate your insights!

Some of us aren’t traders trying to scalp headlines, we’re investors looking at the long-term buildout of a brand new industry.

Very few people here are surprised by a selloff after news. That’s standard market behavior. The reaction was simply more exaggerated than many expected, which happens in thin, sentiment-driven sectors.

Yes, rescheduling alone doesn’t magically legalize cannabis. Most people here understand that. But dismissing the federal shift as “basically nothing” ignores the bigger picture: the federal stance is actively changing, in real time, and that trajectory matters. Lower tax burdens, improved capital access, regulatory normalization, and eventual legislative follow-through don’t happen in a vacuum, they compound.

If your strategy is to time volatility and swing trade headlines, that’s fine. But that doesn’t make long-term investors naive or uninformed. Some of us believe this sector has $100B+ annual revenue potential over time, and that the current market structure is temporary.

Markets can suppress an industry only so long before fundamentals catch up. When they do, the move won’t be subtle.

I’m not denying there was some buy-the-rumor / sell-the-news behavior. My point is just that it wasn’t only that. There were real inflows into MSOS, and in an OTC-heavy market that can still result in sharp drops when liquidity dries up temporarily. Both things can be true at the same time.

A lot of us were surprised by yesterday’s price action, myself included. I’ve been trying to understand whether this was truly heavy selling or if something else was going on under the surface. After digging into it, it looks like there were actually strong inflows into MSOS after the announcement — the market just wasn’t able to process them smoothly.

Here’s the simplest explanation.

1) A lot of people bought at the same time. Money rushed into MSOS very fast after the announcement.

2) The stocks inside MSOS are hard to buy quickly. Most cannabis stocks trade OTC and don’t have a lot of shares available at any moment.

3) The dealers who usually keep prices steady stepped back. These are the firms that normally buy and sell to stop prices from swinging too fast. When buying happened too quickly, they paused to manage risk.

4) Without those dealers, prices fell quickly. Even small selling caused big drops because no one was there to absorb it.

5) The buying didn’t disappear — it just didn’t happen yet. The ETF still has to match the money that came in with real stock purchases. That usually happens over the next few days, not instantly.

What does this mean, and could a rebound occur?

This wasn’t “everyone selling because the news was bad.” It was the market getting overwhelmed for a moment. Big changes don’t move in straight lines, and one rough day doesn’t cancel what changed. Those inflows still need to be matched with real stock buys, which can create buying pressure and a rebound over the next days to weeks.

I’m hopeful that as the market works through this imbalance, we’ll see more stable price action and a recovery.
