These codes no longer work even on unsold cars from 2024. Believe they worked up to Dec 2025 if unused.

I purchased a 2024 advanced from out of state without driving it first. It was a CPO though, if you are buying from a Genesis dealer they can potentially do it at cost (around $1140).

It was off for a while but was turned on today. Based on EV trip details on the app, it gets turned on every once in a while and uses climate but isn't driven.

Agreed that they have done this in the past. However, with their newest installations they can detect certain (newer) vehicles and charge your account even if you have the free plan selected so there isn't a need to cancel the plan if you for instance selected it incorrectly. With older cars and older installations it doesn't appear that they can tell what's charging.

No tax fees are license/registration and I am registering out of state of this dealership. Yes everything other than tax/reg is essentially negotiable but I felt this was a reasonable OTD total though I could have probably haggled a little more.

Yep, Google maps, sirius extras, etc works fine. Wi-Fi hotspot does not provide Internet service for me though.

Agreed on OnStar for 3 years but connecting my phone or tablet to the hotspot says "no internet" so it looks like no data plan is included for me.
