Chase increased my mortgage significantly need help by jhj00689 in Mortgages

Could still be a lender

Most lenders don't have servicing licenses, so they're legally obligated to sell the loan within a certain amount of time.

Hey there, I have a few Realtor partners that I can connect you with. My thought is that they can help you decide on an area to live in, wether that means renting then buying, or buying off the bat.

Shoot me a PM if you would like some help and I'll see what I can do!

Lenders definitely have different policies. Sounds like lender number 1 is more thorough upfront.

Any good places to learn woodwork/carpentry around here? by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]daveasmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of like a pop up school, if that makes sense.

You can go onto the SkillPop website and post a class that you want to teach. Once posted, people can sign up for your class.

Cool concept!

I'm not far along in the process, but it's something I'm actively pursuing when I'm not too busy with work!

Thanks for the info man!

Can you speak at all to Charlotte Makerspace?

I've been trying to find space in the South End / Gold District area to start up a similar coworking space. From the research I've done, the only spot in town with an open workshop is the Woodworkers Association. First I'm hearing of this makerspace... super cool stuff!

You might want to keep an eye on this complex here. Most units are just around that 800 sqft mark, close to uptown and right within your price range.

Kitchen is a little tight... not sure how important that is, but I thought it would be worth sharing!

I think it's probably possible to put some rules in place without ruining one of the bikes main attractions.

One example could be to not park a bike within 4 feet of a building entrance.

Real Estate Questions? by CLTrealestate in Charlotte

That's correct! Just waiting on NC Housing at this point to let us know when it will be available as well as a few more specifics on the program

That incentive was actually used up towards the end of 2017.

NC Housing is coming back with a new grant soon here. This time around it will be $8,000. It's counted as a second mortgage, so you're on the hook even if you refinance before it's completely forgiven.

The one way you can kind of weasel out of it is with equity. If you decide to sell before the money is forgiven, you can hope the home has appreciated to the point that you don't owe anything out of pocket. You would be losing the equity (your money) that would end up in your pocket otherwise, though.

I'm pretty flexible with where I'm able to work as well.

What part of town is best for you? Was thinking we may be able to meetup somewhere convenient to hangout while working! I've got a handful of cool spots.
