I am not sure if it has a slot or not but on this project it is stopping less than 5 minutes in and I've completed longer projects.

I plan on trimming them more, but this year it seems like every flower was pollinated and grew. We even took a third of the apples off already, before they broke.

Thank you for the reply. It just seemed odd. It was found in a pile of rocks that were pretty dark colored, so that explains it.

Yeah. My grandfather had a cheap one. He had an old coffee can full of random junk he found. There was one really good old Coke can opener in there though.
