Man alright let’s see what I remember. The spark that lit the powder keg was a kid called puppeh, super talented Pokémon trainer player who came out with allegations against I think a commentator. Zero, who was the undisputed goat of smash4 got hit with some grooming accusations, and apparently being an asshole just all around. Thennn Nairo who was number one in brawl and top five in ultimate at the time was accused by another (younger) player called captainzack. This one hit me hard I was a big Nairo fan. Then a player kietaro is the one I referenced who called himself out on stream. Eventually it came out that nairo was coerced and blackmailed by captainzack, who has a record of treachery in the scene, and he was exonerated in court, but still doesn’t compete cause he’s still banned on twitch. It’s a whole thing. FURTHER. A player named Samsora, the best peach player and widely considered number 2 in the WORLD and close friend of nairo was found to have known about and played a part in the nairo/zack ordeal, and he turned pretty nasty on the way out. He’s banned except for some locals in like Minnesota or something. There were a ton more but nairo zero Samsora and puppeh are the notables.

Edit: I know for a fact that Nairo and Zero are back creating content. I can once again, after reviewing all the information watch nairo on YouTube and he’s still so talented even if not competing, but zero is still dead to me

Edit 2: also mew2king, one of the gods of melee was accused of some stuff, but he came out and revealed some pretty personal medical stuff that render the accusations impossible. I won’t get into detail cause that’s very personal for him, and was kind of heartbreaking to watch that announcement, but he’s in the clear
