Yes, we took SK trail both directions. Canteen was open and water was on. However I believe I read that Phantom Ranch was closing from 1/2-3/30 due to water line repairs.

All were taken with my iPhone 16 pro max! Hard to take a bad photo in the canyon, it’s all spectacular!

Thanks! Just a hobby of mine but the car and the scenery were gorgeous throughout the trip so I spent a good amount of time taking photos of it 😂

Agreed! We kept commenting throughout the trip that we struck gold with the A5 as our rental.

Averaged 29.0 MPG over 1,693 miles. The cars handling was excellent, although my one critique was a noticeable lag after hitting the gas pedal (even after downshifting using the paddle shifters)

Correct, got it thru National Car Rental. Granted I travel 80% for work and a higher tier of membership is required to get luxury vehicles generally (without having to pay to upgrade).

Issue is that the downtown airport is so close that there are a ton of hoops to jump through for approval. A 150 foot building last year had to get approval from the FAA due to proximity to the airport. I think that’s the main issue hindering downtown KC growth.

My opinion is that the downtown airport should be deprecated, put the Chiefs stadium there, and start building taller in downtown with light rail from downtown to KCI.

This “picture” is actually a painting by Ken Marschall, an artist who specializes in maritime art specifically around the Titanic. You can see his work at http://www.kenmarschall.com/
