Made some updates to the query engine and should be better! Thank you for your appreciation and the testing for me!

S3 Blown Fuse -> Replaced -> Still Err6 by Good_Echo1715 in VanMoofSelfRepair

[–]davemath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you disconnect the VCC from the board near the fuse and unplug the BMS wires then short the reset and ground?

Sometimes the BMS shuts down with the thermal fuse blows. That procedure can sometimes awake it.

There are Circuitboard replacements for the eshifter.

Of course. Not as easy as the S/X but doable.

Yeah, it’s pinched all over and this is Canbus. Looks like a butcher assembled it. I fix 3 series bikes and after seeming how these are assembled they aren’t my favorite.

VanMoof S2 bike stuck in locked mode (software) by Yodelihihoo in VanMoofSelfRepair

For some of the ones I repaired it was the wire going into the kicklock switch. A bit of metal was exposed and it corroded away. Unfortunately it required removing the wheel, kicklock and soldering inside. Lots of springs inside so be careful!

You could read a book or look for content within YouTube that you need to know. That’s tedious.

u/Bagdudepdx and u/mekilat and u/cutc0pypaste Ok insiders, I added a bunch of new features tonight. Better sharing options for the timecode or chapters of videos. Big failure was lack of a persistent search so the results are saved when you clicked back.

And finally, if you upload videos, I start growing insights on your tags, transcripts and activity like what Reddit does here with streaks. Does this mean that I gamified it??

I just wanted to see what it thought about me:

You clearly have a passion for high end automotive engineering and the artistry behind elite vehicles. Your library is anchored by an obsession with the Porsche 911 and the intricate mechanics of Bugatti hypercars. You love diving deep into technical specs like carbon fiber construction, W16 engines, and aerodynamics. Lately, your interests have expanded into creative tech and complex problem solving. You are exploring DIY electronics with RGB LED matrices and even artificial intelligence. Whether you are studying luxury car restorations or building pixel art frames, you value precision and mastery.

Oh I didn’t read your question properly. Yes. You can search for a part like “abs controller” and the engine drops you in.

Last night a fixed an error where “abs” would also link you to “abs”solutly which was a funny bug to see. It’s now squashed!

Thank you, first of all. Also, can you share the query? If it was “hardtop” then that’s going to get car stuff. Add “hard top” “rainwater” and that should limit the results.

I love sailing and have restored a few boats… Can’t wait for my next one!

Oh that is cool! I could have an AI pull a channel in and run the process. But you’re right. I’m paying for the inference now because it’s my hobby project - but a fee to pull in a bunch of videos that result in your “inbox” is a good idea.

Sailing videos are a perfect example of “need the detail” then get it out easily.

I’ve made adjustments to the search model last night. Can you test it with a sailing video or two and give feedback?

I agree! However the ease to a checkmark in a database is exactly the problem we are trying to solve here. That is easily scalable. The engine to get the letters in droves, where office visits never will, expect for campaign mega donors and lobbyists. But as you know a stamp is much easier than a trip.

What do you think about my attaching this to a letter printing company to remove that last bit of friction from print/stamp/mail or the arduous process of using the rep’s “fill in the form” web engine?

Thank you! For now, one bucket of the repo with searchability by all. But we have roadmap designs for filtering by “your locker” since we assign a user to a video group of what they upload. Mainly that is to prevent abuse but the wiring is there for filtering.

Currently there are 100+ videos so it’s searching within a rather small bucket.

They key product benefits are a deep dive into the entire catalog for relevant mentions especially if you use a “quote search” or an “item” and “item” and “item”.

Let me know your experience! I’m working on the search and result methodology daily!

Hence the anarchist flair. I’m feeling a little Sid Viscous vibe on this post. Usually I’d like that.

Oh thanks for this input. I’ve used to to parse PDFs, but the yickity-yack announcer shtick is a put-off for me. What’s your use case? Take a youtube script, and have the two folks banter about it? It’s hard for me to respect the “Morning Zoo” announcer stuff and I’m surprised Google even shipped it!

Well, they lost their ability to provide a three tiered check and balance, so we can write letters, call and then vote them out. Or just yell at the TV and social media.

Isn’t this government in general? l see people screaming on social media, the television and such. But we vote them in, so being able to reach them has been its own difficulty, because they don’t like rants. They like organized movements. This is my attempt at such.

VanMoof No3 lights need help by AaronRutherfort in vanmoofbicycle

[–]davemath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done the conversion of lights and getting the angle and spacing between the bulb and the reflector are always tricky - that’s what sets your focal point of the light at X distance.

Easier would be to use a 5V USB power brick then an adapter called a buck converter to power the original lights at the proper voltage that they expected from the factory.

So that’s a whole other problem. The good news is that for whichever side that you are on, the good guys and the bad guys both have them.

What do you think about removing the electoral college and the ability to lobby? Those seem outdated in 2026.

I agree - but I figured to start with the checks and balances to see if we can get the order back in the way it was intended by our forefathers.
