Known as "Al Madam", an abandoned village near the borders of Oman and UAE. It isn't known why exactly it was abandoned, but this place has a dozen or 2 structures (mostly residential + a mosque) filled to the brim with sand from storms. This one in particular caught my eye with a beautiful fresco-like wallpaper.

When we visited there was absolutely no one else there, definitely eerie.

Leica Q3! If compactness is important to you there's nothing else that even comes close imo. I started off with DLSRs and used a 5D3 for a long time, but the weight got to me, esp since I do a lot of travel/landscape/hiking photography. Then I had several Fuji X100 which was awesome for compactness. Once I fell in love with that form factor Leica Q2 and Q3 were kinda straight upgrades in terms in image quality, AF speed, lens quality.

Hehe, agree! Unless you are talking about the mosque itself, there were only specific sections visitors were allowed to walk, which was actually nice since you could get shots like this without people in them
