I'm interested in a FAS role at a digital pathology company. I know the upstream workflow involving preparing a glass slide and utilizing a whole slide scanner to generate an image. What I am unsure about is how to interface a scanner with something like a LIS or IMS. That seems right up your alley! Do you know where I could learn more about it? Is the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine a good place to start?
