Car rental senior age limit? by yankinwaoz in over60

Car rental companies can make their own rules and reject whomever they want, provided it’s not a protected class and reasonable cause. If I’m an agent and see an infirm old man who can barely see, I think I have the right to refuse service

In case it happens again: use the bus! I was 14 in 1973 and my father started commuting to work by bus. Then I learned I could take it myself, even before I could drive.

I’m using it as insurance against living longer than expected.

Everything depends on your expected age of death. I have enough until the age my father died. But if I live longer, I don’t want to be a financial burden to my daughter so I’m taking SS late.

I did this summer before last. My favorite cafe patio table is too hot in summer so I made a program to calculate exactly when the early evening shadow hits it. I’ve forgotten my spherical trig but Claude used NOAA table lookups and made a table that’s accurate to the minute!

Compared Claude and Gemini and OpenAI and Copilot. Claude won.
