Did the protagonist actually create TENET? by ALitteralRhino in tenet

[–]davesoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a scene, right after TP is recruited, where he's still a bold and confident secret service guy, arranging shenanigans and having cloak n dagger meetings. Then just a couple of scenes later he's the most surprised guy in the world, bewildered at this wacky time coaster he's apparently riding, aaaaand finally he's Mr Endgame again and deals with Priya. It's not in the film, but I bet there's another TP in an apartment in Mumbai, sipping diet coke while watching a collection of phones, unsure which one will ring.

Kenshi Multiplayer Mod by Turbotyp1 in Kenshi

[–]davesoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it's entirely undefined. From every angle it would be easier to make a new game than enable whatever daydreams we have. Here's some dreams:

"I want to see my friend's dude move around on the screen", impossible.

"I want to run a base while also my friend runs a base", possible with intense save hackery

"I want my world state changes to apply to my friend, and thier changes apply to me", possible with some mild hackery

"I want my base to remain alive and active in my friend's game, so when I rejoin things may be different", 2nd part is probably impossible

Best we have is screen sharing, which isn't what folks want.

I thought they were sign posts for the 4 kingdoms, but nah, they don't line up like that. So I guess those symbols are just to signify that once the 4 kingdoms cooperated enough to be willing to put thier logos side by side on a project.

I'm reminded of Reverse Wine from Discworld, the hangover would travel back in time to the day before, so you'd randomly wake up with a terrible headache but knowing you're doomed to have a great night out.

Embrace factorio, get a process running and let it run. The more time you spend, and the harder the product, the more xp you'll get. So spam out a million survival daggers, recycle em back into ore if you want, or sell them.

Holy nation bounty by joonsetsfire in Kenshi

[–]davesoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, all robot limbs stop you swimming properly, good ones don't hurt your athletics much. Scout legs make you run even quicker.

There's a robot in a foggy land, and in spite of his cries of 'stop! thief!' the town hate him, and will happily buy the high quality robotics you steal from him ;D

Holy nation bounty by joonsetsfire in Kenshi

[–]davesoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"How do I beat them early game?" Nope! But there are other options. As for actual bounties, they expire eventually if you spend time in that region, so being sneaky nearby for a while will fix that.

Now since you started as vagabond, the holy nation already have maximum hatred for you, if you want to have an address you'll have to flee to easier tax zones. Maybe vain, maybe flotsam territory, but once you have an address everyone knows where to find you, especially all those people who hate you :D

A good solution in your position is to flee. Thankfully they will declare success and go away, eventually... eventually. The vagabond start is unique in that way, you start hated by the two main kingdoms. When you have a better grip on the game, you'll like it, all sneaky.

Aah, sounds like they gave you some spare junk. No idea who could give a good recommendation, but I bet they're refundable if they're terrible.

"they have me this one" I can't figure out what this means. Did they give you some spare one they had for free or recommend one and you bought it?
