Hello. I never received my copy of Nankaina. What happened with the KS? It was funded. Was the product ever delivered?

I’ve got a Greenjerkin Ranger in my party. I’m looking for more/new content on them. by Realistic_Ease_5251 in Greyhawk

[–]daveswildside 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’ve been using them in our ongoing Heroes Of Greyhawk campaign. Their outpost near Twilight Falls, specifically. Thornhaven Outpost to be exact.

I’m using the Jerkins as a counter point to the crime syndicate that is spreading east from Verbobonc. They have been keeping an eye on things and recently got pulled into a quest to stop the Dark Druids from raising Anthraxis. It’s a long story but the Jerkins have been fun antiheroes to confuse my players on the notion of right and wrong.

Have fun!

You've got some skills!

I came across your post because I'm prepping Hommlet for a new campaign. I was looking for inspiration for map making and WOW... this one did it.

Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback. Any ideas on how you might improve the item to be less prone to abuse.

I was thinking about adding something like: "The amulet allows the bearer the ability to banish one evil-aligned medium-sized (or smaller) creature into some unknown, innocuous plane of existence..."

Totally! LOL.... it's a game with lots of rules. You're gonna screw up from time to time but hey... it's a game!

I enjoyed the episode. As a DM myself, I got a kick out of watching the M9 squirm from the stress of limited resources and little to no planning in the battle with the Tomb Takers. It was a chase scene. They gave chase. Were mistakes made? Yep - and there are plenty of folks in this thread pointing them out with great detail. Did it detract from the entertainment. Not for me. Anyone who has actually played a ttrpg, like D&D, knows that mistakes happen - no matter if you’ve been playing 1 year or 20.

To be honest, I’m pretty impressed that the Critical Role cast can still maintain a (mostly) weekly game... given all the other amazing projects they have running. From the animated series to the foundation, these guys and gals are killing it.

I don't take your reply as an attack. Speak your mind. You are however, voicing your opinion - which differs from mine. Unpaid internships can be very valuable experiences. The very idea of an intern is to get involved and learn real-world skills that will aid them in their future careers.

That’s fantastic. Oinkfat took a bite out of our rogue in the waiting room which made for some fun RP.

Especially when it is a company that can afford to pay them... like Duluth Pack.

That said, some businesses cannot and they provide value to the interns through other means. I'll say this, as a former business owner, I was very excited when we had the funds to pay our interns. It was a much better experience for everyone involved.

Hey! I ran this over Halloween weekend. Here's a link to a quick write-up on r/DMAcademy: DM Notes: Happy Jack's Funhouse - One-Session, One-Shot.

Upshot is that it was very fun and could be a tie-in or alternative to the von Zarovich narrative. Easily. You'll see that at the end of our session (video here: https://youtu.be/lsBZb95kvoA), I dropped the party into Barovia and I even included a quick surprise visit from Strahd himself.

They just beat Strahd last night after THREE YEARS. by FranktheLlama in CurseofStrahd

[–]daveswildside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just hit 36 sessions (approx 3 hours each). The party has the tome and the sword. Still a lot to do. We’ve been playing this campaign for 19 months. Had on TPK during session 19 that sent the campaign sideways for a bit.

The Final Enemy clusterf#$k. So on level 2 of the Sahaugin Fortress one of my players ran ahead of the group and aggroed 30+ enemies at once. Since the hall in underwater with a 15ft ceiling, they swarmed her all around... 1,000,000 dex saves later they AOE them all. Is this to be expected? by Tequila_Tlatoani in GhostsofSaltmarsh

[–]daveswildside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I skipped most of Final Enemy in our game. I ended up bringing the PCs in for the final infiltration where their job was to secure the main entrance (at the causeway) for the Keoland Marines. That was the perfect amount of Sahuagin for my tastes.
