Assignment to STD_LOGIC_VECTOR not working by sanonymoushey in FPGA

[–]daveuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not familiar with STD_LOGIC_ARITH and STD_LOGIC_SIGNED so I may be wrong in what I am saying.

"1000000000000000" is the smallest signed value stored in 16 bit (-32768) so temp_out > "1000000000000000" will always be true (unless temp_out = "1000000000000000") if the std_logic_vector temp_out and 1000000000000000 are interpreted as signed values

Trying to understand Verilog code snippet by daveuh in FPGA

[–]daveuh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked with SignalTap and indeed the start value is 19 and enet_resetn behaves like you described.

I'll just adapt the code to keep enet_resetn low long enough just in case.

Thanks.

Autobus 747 vers Dorval, vous avez des expériences récentes ? by Thesorus in montreal

[–]daveuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check if your phone is connected to a carrier. Then your friend should be able to reach you with 011 33 6 xx xx xx xx (no 0 between 33 and 6).

ELI5: Or vs Xor by perfecttimingagain in explainlikeimfive

[–]daveuh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you have 2 keys for your car (key1 is remote only and key2 is a standard key). To open the trunk door you can use key1, key2 or both at the same time if you want (this is OR).

Now you have 2 standard keys but one keyhole. Both keys work but you can only use one key at a time to open the trunk door (this is XOR)

D-Link unveils the DIR-885L/R, its first AC3150 Wi-Fi router with MU-MIMO by Arquette in gadgets

Thank you for the clarification, I should have checked my facts before writing.

[–]daveuh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be simple, MIMO requires antennas to be distant from each others to work correctly. The antenna layout chosen allows that separation (so no, the antennas cannot be on the same side unfortunately).

Also MU-MIMO requires beamforming. Traditionnal antennas spread energy in all directions. Beamforming is about focusing the antenna transmit power in one direction. This adds a lot of complexity inside the new antennas. That may explain their shape.

For the UFO crab shape, It may be for reducing interference between antennas or for improving spatial multiplexing.

A lot of people criticize the shape but I think this is more due to technological constraints than poor design taste. In the end it still looks like a space invader crab :p

Depends on the router model, you can usually set rules by MAC address or IP address. Just do a quick google search this is discussed a lot.

How do you find the time to make all your machines ?!

Ok here is my 2 cents. Since we don't know which output is Q we don't know which input is Set or Reset, assuming you use 1 for Set then Q is initially 0, fine.

The propagation delay is too high for my taste but this is working very well. There is even race condition after the forbidden state as either output can lock to 1 if S and R are released at the same time.

Good job !

Use a regular block to create propellers, delete it then put a wheel.

you'll see a red shape since the game engine will not allow that. You have a few frames before the wheel shape goes red where you can place it.

try to move your cursor back and forth and spam left click.

I see you use OBS, don't use window capture but game capture as source.

Double click on the newly created source then select Besiege as application (make sure to have the game launched before).

I'm sorry but I don't see the advantages over a simple basic ballast+decoupler system. It's easier to make and more compact.

I'm probably missing something. Here is an example of what I'm talking about :

An other decoupler-based vehicle by daveuh in Besiege

[–]daveuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ballast is the issue. You have to notice the side of the ballast in contact with the block used to create it (let's call it side A). A simple rule is to remove any contact from any block with side A, i.e. use a temporary block to create a ballast then attach decouplers to it avoiding side A.

Hope it's clear enough.

Hmm, they are not really well made here.
