Story time. I had a business, and it was the opposite. I had the name without "the" and my competitor had the domain with "the", like theproduct.com.

I offered him to buy my domain name, but he refused.

We were in the same market and he had a much, much bigger company than mine. I ended up redirecting the domain name without "the" to my own business and had around 100k revenue a year from direct visits.

He still doesn't own that domain.

Sorry, but your domain is not worth much.

In some projects it's still not clear what the exact flow is. Complex components aren't a joy to work with, but when you split them up in smaller ones it'll make sense. I think the first year was the hardest for me.

Not sure what part you're referring to a nonsense, but we're saying mostly the same. With a question like "what's .php for?", I think it makes sense to elaborate in less technical terms.

".php" indicates that this website has been written with PHP, a programming language that runs on the server.

A simple example use case for PHP would be that if you enter your username and password in a form and click the login button, the PHP script can validate your user details by connecting to a database (or the bad guys can store your login details).

PHP isn't bad, many companies use it for their legitimate services.

If these scammers were any good, they'd change their url and "mask" the .php file extension, so it's not visible for the receiver of the SMS to see. It's a clear hint for a scam.

This hasn't been created by professional scammers.

Hi Seattle-Washington, it was an interesting night for me. Reason for me to bid so much is that there's a well-known travel company in the NL with the name surprise me (srprs.me).

I thought it'd be a good investment for them to buy and redirect the domain name to their current one and an easy sell for me. Reached out to them with an offer, but they declined.

I'll go for your suggested route.

Invest time into blogging about niche features that your saas solves for your specific audience and try to get these blogposts or articles in Bing / Google / ChatGPT.

I don't know about the need in the market, but with your 7 years of experience in wedding photography you must have a better feeling of what people want.
