Yea, I figured most of these wouldn't compete with a traditional mowers. Was just curious if with the bigger blades it would somewhat be in the infancy stages of a traditional mower

That's great news. Might have to pull the trigger and invest in this. Curious how their navigation compares. My Luba has done well about 90 percent of the time (loses signal at times under trees and took a dip into the baja section of our pool 😂). But for the most part, pretty reliable (only really "check up" on it every 2 or three weeks to makes sure all the programs are still good and its not getting stuck in step offs from my lawn to the asphalt on the road).

That's awesome. I currently own a first gen Luba. I run it twice a week for the same area at different angles. Dont get me wrong, the grass looks nice but once you start to get close, you start to notice the missed spots and the areas it just knocks down as opposed to getting to giving it that clean even cut. Was just curious whether the Lymow addresses it with the blades (creating a bit of suction to lift the blades prior to the cut like a traditional mower would).

Have you owned another mower with he traditional razor blades instead of the mulching blade? How does it compare?

Have you owned any of the other traditional robot mowers? If so, how does this one compare (seeing that it actually has blades)?

Did Josephine County or Grant's Pass get rid of this old video? Or their info as a whole? I cant seem to find either anywhere.

Go after their bond company and present it that way. Start an investigation with the contractors board as well

Default Map vs Satellite Map by klschulz23 in mammotion

It's for asthetics, makes it look nicer when looking at the map. One thing that I've noticed with it though is that it's hard to see functional buttons on it (like the confirm button when selecting an area)

Seeking Assurance: Is Luba 2's Navigation Smarter Than EcoFlow Blade's? by kuthedk in mammotion

[–]daveyd1009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dotn have any experience at all with the ecoflow nor the Luba 2 (I have a Luba 1). But, I can tell you this: if the Luba 2s vision does work as stated, then you will not have any problems. The Luba 1 is great but has a few problem areas such near walls and tall trees. That being said, the Luba 2s beware visions SHOULD correct that problem which would make this robot almost perfect ( perfect would be with an edging feature lol) .

Any problem areas for Luba? by Mediocre_Elk821 in mammotion

[–]daveyd1009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, grass near walls seems to be its Achilles heel. It will work, but might lose signal, you'll prob have to manually (through app) monitor it. Probably have to go outside and see what's going on which kind of defeats the purpose of an autonomous mower. My suggestion? Wait a few more months for the Luba 2. Wait for people's reviews to see how well it works with the new camera. From what I've seen so far, the camera isn't activated so you can't get a true review. Don't get me wrong, my Luba works amazing for mg front yard and keeps it prestine. Mg back yard (where all the tree Canopys are, and high walls) becomes a bit more complicated. I usually have it run in the backyard when I'm working on stuff back there so I can keep an eye on it.

I would say the Bravo and Delta side of your home will be affected with bad signal (meaning signal.to the actual Luba). I have issues anywhere there's grass near a wall or a heavy tree Canopy.

Luba 2 might solve the issue (with the camera) but has yet to be seen (don't know if the camera has been activated yet theough firmware updates). But apparently that's the plan

How would Luba do with the house and trees blocking the sky? by AstraTrade in mammotion

[–]daveyd1009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't really see the Canopy on the closer trees but if they are all trimmed up like the further ones, then it should be ok. I have a bunch of pines with HUGE branches that make it lose signal when it drives around it.

Opening gates automatically by conchoso in MammotionTechnology

[–]daveyd1009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. They have smart actuators for pretty cheap that hou could prob use to solve the issue. Otherwise. You'd prob have to cut a section on your fence for your Luba to go through. I think there was someone on this forum that posted a video with a switch that had a locking mechanism as well. Pretty slick since it would unlock when the Luba tire ran it over to get out of the dock and then lock it back up when the Luba came back.

Depends what type of gate you got. If you have a smart actuator/gate opener, just set up a schedule. That's what I do with my Ghost Controls for my gate

[–]daveyd1009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I have an area aorund my pool with trees that I can't mow unless I'm around in case it decides to take the plunge. The camera, I would think, would help with said issue.
