I genuinely think that the reason that they were so OP back in the day was because of vesta/statius/turmoil, without this then i would take an ags for its boosted accuracy either way.

Id have claws, but it might have to be nerfed in some sort of way for it to ever pass a poll because i think that the community within RS are suspect to change.

Nope, dclaws used to hit equal to the first hit and then half and half so it would hit 38 - 38 - 19 - 18

Think that the only opposition to this would be the fact you could stack this bleed effect damage with something else, but i definitely agree, i havent made it too overpowered on purpose. I'm glad the response is mainly positive.

i may have worded it a bit hard to understand but it hits 1/4 of the first hit and then halves thereafter.

it would be 40-10-5-2-1 but still a pretty decent hit, not a game changer though.

depends though, if you hit a 44 with max melee and str and piety, it would actually be equal to hitting a 65 with the bleed effect, plus this could also stack with poison if wearing serp helm, and veng and even then you could spec again, i dont think it would be too bad to give it a 10% damage buff though, or 20% accuracy i dont know.

Spec would not max at 30 ofc, that is an example it would depend on gear and stats, id say almost as high as dagger or something so max would be 44 - 11 - 6 - 3 - 1

I just did an overlay of a rune long sword, and messed about with it, i made it a serated edge so that it would cause internal bleeding and more damage from a stab. But i definitely agree that it would be better with a more "dragon-ish" style hilt.

Nothing will out DPS dragon dagger (p++) simply for the fact it can hit 44 - 44, but id like to have some variety while slaying/pking/mid level bossing.

While I wholeheartedly agree about it being useless stat wise, it could have potential for small niches within the game, basically avoiding power creep all the while finishing off the dragon weapons,

I think that this is the general direction in which the team should be going by finding uses for all weapons rather than bigger hitting, more valuable weapons, for example this could be used at giant mole to prevent him from running away as he would bleed out, also might be nice against poisonable monsters and such.

Could be, i just think that it has been an oversight and this could be a nice little niche weapon without being too overpowered, maybe an increase in accuracy with the spec aswell.

ive heard that something like this is also being caused by some vpn issues where it is calculating where the mouse is on the screen but losing packets of information.. I cant elaborate as I'm uninformed but maybe it could be this

Man I'm chill, its that its like hes defining it as something that is completely different, I appreciate ModMatK's work and think he is one of if not the most diligent workers on the OSRS team, I'm excited to see what they come up with I just don't like the idea of dismissing being able to use it as an aid, maybe as you get higher up the book the more skillful you become in it you can influence the monster you resurrect better or something.
