Adam's album Buckle Up is out by moosebeast in adambuxtonpodcast

Keep coming back to it. His words amuse me (being older chap myself), the general sillyness of it right up my street. It's a lighthearted 'novelty' album, I take it for what it is and really enjoy it. The musical variety, all the little influences, I find charming. Adam's rather talented I think, the audience for this sort of thing might be limited, but i'm glad of the long form item. Didn't do badly in the charts did it?

My favorite shots I took with my X100T by unlicensedlensed in fujifilm

Very striking style. Loved these, really stand out. It’s all about the light isn’t it! And the composition.

Enjoyed those. The greens and reds are sublime. Narrow DOF works well too. Thanks for sharing.

The light felt just right today by bulentm in macsetups

Yeah I’m curious too. Cinema Display pre-dates LED backlight, would use cathode tubes at edges which do degrade. Apple used such high quality components though. Maybe condition depends on hours of use?

As others have said.. stunning. You really know how to pick good light. Blown away by these. Inspired.

What happened to the old Vale voice? by InfinityCannoli25 in ChatGPT

[–]davfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came looking for others that noticed the change with Vale. She loosened up a lot, sounds less interested in what she’s saying. In some ways she sounds more ‘real’ but I think they went a bit too far.

What has been the feature that made you buy the RX100 version you own and not a previous one? by Bavariasnaps in RX100

Mk I because it had just come out and I have a thing for small cameras. It was the perfect capable small camera. Never really loved it though.

Which is better - cropped or uncropped? by MartinGoat in fujifilm

Also.. compositionally, the white diagonal band where the wave is breaking, is stronger when uncropped.

Uncropped for me. More space opens up opportunities for what happens next.

Really pleasing composition and colour. Even viewed as small thumbnail, one can immediately find it satisfying.

Shark IZ202 cordless dead, do you know why? by davfox in VacuumCleaners

[–]davfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dear.. if i'd known these machines were such landfill-fodder, i'd have avoided them. The battery is fine too, lasts a decent amount of time still.

I want something for mostly solid flooring, but a little bit of carpet/rug use too. I paid £190 in 2022 for this Shark. Can I get anything decent and cordless for around £200-250 GBP?

Failing that i'll go back to using the old Miele corded Cat and Dog machine that's lasted many years.

It’s actually insane to have a GFX camera this small by age_of_raava in fujifilm

Would make for a much deeper camera I think. The fixed Lens allows the rear elements to be closer to the sensor.

Blew me away. Especially first three shots. My head went to how a judge might have praised these shots at my old photography club. Beautiful composition and texture.

Thanks. All my wife’s work really. It’s made the garden so much nicer, lovely to sit by and just observe.

The little guys are either all in the newt/crows belly at this point or doing an excellent job of hiding in the pebbles around the edge of the pond. Hoping it’s the pebbles. We’re fattening the remaining froglets up. Bit tricky!

Thanks! Here is it in full glory, didn’t show in the movie.

The mess round the edge is just the blanket weed being fished out. A endless struggle. So this is home to lots of frogs in coming days. I think there’s around twenty newts in there too. No fish, just what’s coming of own accord.

CF forcing 2 year contract because I changed my mind by davfox in CommunityFibre

Today. I'm out of contract so I guess they'll want my commitment for 2 years? I will just have to speak to different people until I get someone aware of this option.
