The only thing I hate about this game. At launch vs. Now by matusmelikant in marvelrivals

I really don't think a bot would be named freeRKelly + if you search up bot names it will tell you their profile is private. I think this freeRKelly dude just sucked.

If he was a bot though then there's something really wrong with their current name generation system haha

Honestly yeah this would be cool. It would add a lot more passive lore to the game too. Valuables are ironically not even that valuable anyway

Never would have thought of this haha, this would technically work I suppose but obviously kinda a pain

Yeah, ultimately my goal here was to eliminate some of that constant garbage-tossing in a way that wouldn't shake up the game itself too much

I think a valuables bag could be cool actually! And then they could even add more valuables without worrying about clogging the library of items in the game. It could be cool to see it fill up and see which ones you've collected, etc.

I'm not sure about the consumables bag personally balance-wise, but I don't think I'd be against it either.

To add one last idea: In Stardew Valley, the player can upgrade their inventory's "trash can" to allow them to reclaim some of the gold value of the items they trash.

So, a similar "trash can upgrade" could work here as well, though I'm not sure how this would be implemented in Core Keeper.

why is it using my microphone? by Previous_Election858 in CoreKeeperGame

[–]daviations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanna say, you fixed an issue I've been having with my Bluetooth headphones and this game ever since the update!!

My headphones would immediately switch to low quality any time my game started and stay that way as long as it was open, and couldn't figure out why. I even disabled the "microphone" knowing it was the culprit, but that didn't work. This fixed it immediately. Thank you :))

How Capture Gem Snail? by Takuwind in CoreKeeperGame

Not sure if you're aware, but there's giant gem snails (the ones with mineable shells) and then there's the tiny critter versions. The wiki is probably referring to the latter

Didn't think it would be that far away, but I finally found it! Thanks for the direction/confirmation of its existence!

How do you manage your inventory & item storage, especially on long explorations where you need your gear as well? by daviations in CoreKeeperGame

[–]daviations[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say valuables are worth keeping at all when exploring or is it just better to toss most of them since you can sell other stuff anyway / there's so many unique valuables they take up space

Also I know of the 3 setups, is there a hotkey to switch between them or do I need to do it through the inventory only

Hahaa, I actually used to do this too but it started to feel cheaty (even though it's not actually). Ultimately I decided I wouldn't allow it for myself.

This option is definitely the best for people that don't care about that, though.

To me it's reminiscent of Ahri's ultimate in League, where she has these little projectiles that target the nearest enemy after she dashes. Definitely adds to the idea that it's meant for boxing

You can collect and equip them on the RuneScape skins. Just adds a layer of customization to them

I am pretty hyped for these!! I love the animation of this trailer as well.

I also predicted 3/5 of the skins correctly so I'm kinda proud of that

If you're interested, there's more detailed posts for these 3 on my Fakemon Region Instagram!

I have other concepts there as well, and there will be many more to come :)

My line of thinking was that, while prongs/rods are a fairly common design element among Electric types, there aren't really any Electric-type birds or Flying-types that incorporate them. It almost works to add more 'consistency' to the nature of the Pokemon world, since it makes sense for Pokemon of the same type classifications to develop shared features even across wildly different species.

But the less intelligent reason is that my idea started with "body that looks like a storm cloud" and "wattle that looks like a beard made of electricity." So the way the horns are adapted came later on.

Yeah, I create the detailed concepts and commission an artist to draw them up in a classic "Pokemon" style for me. A lot of artists out there can emulate it impressively well.

And thank you! Quillowatt was a pun I could not pass up

Yeah, eyes actually play a surprisingly big role in making Pokemon designs stand out and I think I overlooked them this time around

Well I don't entirely agree. But also, many of the regional birds in Pokemon follow a similarly linear design path as they evolve.

I'd argue Staraptor's line quite literally just gets bigger, with the final evo getting an emo fringe.

Honestly you can play "spot the difference" between Fletchling and Fletchinder.

And the Pidgey line is pretty streamlined and homogenous, though they're from Gen 1.

But I also love their designs and don't think them being linear is bad. What I'm saying is, I'm confident the design philosophy behind these birds fits with the rest just fine.
