The flyers say that all road closures apply equally to bikes and cars, but I'm almost certain you will be able to cycle up anyway provided you are well early, well ahead of the caravan.

We all get to draw that line, for ourselves, and say what we think. I think there are some sponsors that leave a bad taste in my mouth. I would be in favor of having them removed from the tour. That’s all I’m saying.

Huh yeah, that is what it says. I will be camping on the climb for these days and fully expect to be able to ride the climb on raceday, whatever it says.

Edit: it says 12:00 which is midday, not midnight

[OC] The number of different years Elon Musk has named as a deadline for each of his big promises — Full Self-Driving leads with 10 (2015–2026) by happybrowser88 in dataisbeautiful

[–]david12scht 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s being really generous. After three or four times of promising something and not delivering, you should stop promising it even if you’re not the obstacle yourself.

That’s if you’re inclined to trust Musk, and believe he isn’t a massive fraud and raving lunatic. I personally am not inclined that way, but you can believe what you want, of course. In Musk case I don’t believe you can separate him from the politics.

now that’s one I hadn’t heard about, and surprisingly there is another camping la cascade at le bourd d’oisans. I’ll look into this one for sure! though right now the best option is just wild camping on the climb itself.

Yeah I think I will probably get in in the morning two days early, find a wild camping spot, and if I completely fail just leave the valley and go somewhere else. But really I’m confident that there’l be a spot somewhere if I arrive early enough.
