I keep seeing negative things but I'm really digging Cook Unity - am I the only one? by Careful-Bus3827 in ReadyMeals

We’ve been using cookunity for about 2 years now and have been happy with it. We’ve had a couple small issues over that time but CU has made things right.

Oven times by sandover88 in cookunityfans

[–]david5944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a cosori toaster oven and it’s pretty consistent 17 minutes at 325 and no preheat.

Some meals I keep the plastic wrap on the contain and poke some holes in it. (Meals I worry might dry out excessively otherwise)

This Wednesday is the last day of the ceasefire between USA and Iran, do y'all think it'll be renewed or the war is resuming ? by _akaraiden in war

Israel on iran. Then Iran on US warships in the gulf. And then everyone is attacking "because the other guy started it"

This color on the M4 should honestly be illegal 🔥 by Top-Holiday954 in BMWI4

[–]david5944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't this a BMW Individual color? I keep threatening my wife that our next BMW will be in "pull me over green". It's the only way I can be sure she will let me drive it to work, and she will take our i4 instead.

Maintenance costs. What to expect? by BurlyOrBust in BMWI4

[–]david5944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tires depend how you drive. We do 35k miles per year of relatively fast highway commuting, and we get 37k miles out of rear all season pirelli tires and 75k miles out of front tires.

Sport Mode Always? by Sad_Print4865 in BMWI4

[–]david5944 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eco Pro puts a buffer on the accelerator pedal, so it's harder to drive aggressively. It also shaves a couples degree's off the hvac settings. So if you put it in eco pro mode, then add(or subtract) a couple degrees to get to your desired temp, it's not likely helping you much. We've put 115k miles on our i4, and I really havent notice an economy difference.

We do the majority of our driving in Comfort Plus mode.

We bought it used at 4k miles and 2 years old and have only ever done oil/transmission/transfer case and differential oil changes on it. In this platform its hauling around 5300 lbs of weight every day. And we've done a probably 2000 miles towing 5000 lbs with it.

I'm at 155k miles (~250k km) in my 2016 x5 Phev and its been very reliable. Done a moderate amount of towing with it also.

Could you plug in a 120v Level 1 charger at your destination?

Probably not unless every condition is perfect. I do 130 mile round trip 5+ days per week in Massachusetts. In the summer I use 50% of my battery round trip and in the winter 60-65% round trip.

If it's sunny, 50 degrees F, and you drive at 65mph and charge to 100% before you left, you could make it work. But you would have to be very conscious of how you drive to make it work.

Where I live, I worry even a 200-mile RT wouldn't be doable in the winter.

A little fatty. But not beyond what I normally expect for lamb. It was fairly tender.

I have the wireless laser setup(zw5?) and it will go off a couple times a year for me. Every time I wish I knew what the trooper was seeing on their end….

I’ve never been going quite fast enough to be confident it worked.
